Esther Mae Givens

Esther Mae Givens, age 75,  of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her residence in Morgantown. Mrs. Givens was born August 7, 1938 in Butler County, to the late Clayton and Rita Embry Felty.  Esther was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church. She was a retired Beautician with 33 years of service to her clients.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter:  Cheryl Henderson, three brothers:  Dallas Felty, Chelsie Felty and Roy Felty.

Adrian Clay Beck

Adrian Clay Beck, 65 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Hospice Of Southern Kentucky Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Adrian was born March 3, 1948 in Warren County, Kentucky to the late Claron Ray and Mildred Mae Hunt Beck. He was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and a retired electrician. He was preceded in death by one brother Doug Beck. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Butler County Cancer Assistance P.O. Box 98 Aberdeen Ky. 42201.

Elgie Johnson,77 of Rochester, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at his residence. Elgie was born February 18, 1936 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Will and Bivie Sumner Johnson. He was a member of Belton Pentecostal Church and retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by one daughter Pamela Finck; three sisters Mary Edwards, Lois Jenkins and Glodean Hester and three brothers Arley, Paul, and Kenneth Johnson.

Wanda Rue Cox Whitaker 71,  of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her residence in Morgantown. Ms. Whitaker was born May 10, 1942 in  Hardin County, to the late Aurby and Bonnie Cardwell Cox.  She was a cook for many years at different restaurants in Morgantown. Wanda loved to cook, clean and collect angels . She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Billy Ray Whitaker , three brothers Ottis, Obie & Bill Cox, three sisters Opal Cox Burden, Della Mae Cox Burden & Mildred (Tottie) Cox Cole.

Colonel Arthur "Kibby" Taylor

Colonel Arthur "Kibby" Taylor, 83, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1930 in Banock, Kentucky to the late Rufus Bunyan Taylor and Ruth Lamastus. Kibby was a 27-year retired Air Force Command Pilot. He was a member of Red River Valley Fighter Pilot Association, B-66 Association, KC-147 Association and Masonic Lodge, Banock, Kentucky. Kibby was the former president of Spinning Wheels Square Dance Club. He is predeceased in death by his first wife, Vivian "LuAnn" Taylor and second wife, Faye Doolin Taylor.

Mabel Lee, 96 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. Mabel was born August 14, 1917, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Nowet and Ellen Flener Coots and wife of the late Marvin Lee. She was a member of Morgantown First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one daughter Violet D. Lee.

Nola Mae Phelps Booth, 81, of  Bowling Green, Ky. passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Rosewood Healthcare Center in Bowling Green. Ms. Booth was born February 1, 1932 in Butler County, to the late James and Laura Johnson Phelps. She was a member of Richardsville Baptist Church.  Nola was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Booth, one daughter Lori Bell Booth and son Joe Booth.

Randy Dewayne Sanders, Sr.

Randy Dewayne Sanders, Sr., 49,  of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Mr. Sanders was born October 7, 1964 in Warren County, to the late Charles James Sanders and Thelma Jane Rigsby Hagan.  Randy was a carpenter and he loved restoring old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles Sanders.

Regina Lynn  Bandy Gentry, 58, a native of Fountain Run, Kentucky, passed away 7:10 am Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Regina  was a graduate of Allen County Scottsville High School, Navy Veteran, serving  in the reserves for 3 years. She was a factory worker and also CNA. She is preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Jane Swindle Bandy.

James Stephen (Steve) Flener

James Stephen (Steve) Flener, 69, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  He was born in Butler County on October 28, 1943, to the late I.J. and Arbie Burden Flener.  Steve was a lifelong member of Aberdeen Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School teacher and deacon.
