Billy Horace Jones

Billy Jones, age 89, of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at Greenview Regional Hospital.  Mr. Jones was born July 19, 1924 in Butler Co. to the late Abe K. and Mattie Bell Rutherford Jones.  Billy was a retired mechanic and a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church.  He was also a WWII Veteran that served in the Marines.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife:  Juanita Jones; sisters:  Kathlean Brown and Anne Davis; brothers:  Paul Jones, Peck Jones, Casey Jones and A.K. Jones Jr.

Joyce Bridges

Joyce Bridges, age 61, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  Ms. Bridges was born Feb. 4, 1952 in Evansville, IN. to the late Hubert J. and Annabelle Jamerson Mercer.  Joyce was a self employed construction worker.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Randy; one sister, Mary Lou; and one son Zakry Adkins.

Mona Geraldine "Jerri" Young

Mona Geraldine "Jerri" Young, 78 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Young was a native of Butler County, Sugar Grove Community. She was born April 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Chester Franklin Beller and Ethel Mae Borders Beller. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wellington Young and four brothers, Donald Laman Beller, Garland Franklin Beller, Bobby Neal Beller, and Carl Douglas Beller. Mrs. Young was a graduate of Butler County High School.

Jim Cline

Jim Cline, age 64, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the VA Hospital  in Nashville, TN.  Mr. Cline was born Aug. 9, 1949 in Warren Co., to Goeble Cline and the late Betty Hite Cline.  Jim was a factory worker, VFW member,  and a United States Air Force Veteran having served in Veitnam.  He was preceded in death by his mother,  2 sisters:  Sharon Cline and Sherry Cline and 1 brother:  Randy Cline.

Wilbur Ray Garrett

Wilbur Ray Garrett, 78, of Bowling Green, passed away Oct. 3, 2013, at his residence at 2:30 p.m.

Wilbur was a Warren County native and was born July 4, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Exie Milam Garrett; a brother, Harold Garrett; and two sisters, Mary Souders and Brenda Garrett.

Eva Jean Smith

Eva Jean Smith, 88, of Rochester, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Morgantown Care & Rehabilitation Center.   Eva Jean was born March 19, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Eva Herron Staples.  She was the wife of the late Tommy Combs and B. Smith, was a member of Rochester Missionary Baptist Church, and was retired from General Electric.  Eva Jean was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and A.D. Staples.

Vivian Snodgrass

Vivian Snodgrass, 83 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Vivian was born June 6, 1930 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Ransom and Rosabelle Embry Snodgrass. She was a homemaker and a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one sister Agnes Moore Simpson; one half brother Pete Snodgrass and one nephew Larry Simpson.

Carl Lee Glasscock Jr

Carl Lee Glasscock Jr., 83, former Spencer County Kentucky Judge Executive passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Baptist Hospital East surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Glasscock was the founder of Glasscock Sawmill, former Spencer County School Board Member, Spencer County Sheriff for 4 years and County Judge Executive for 12 years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.

Mike Gibbs

Mike Gibbs, 67, of Bowling Green, died at 8:02 a.m. Sept. 27, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Hadley native was born Nov. 11, 1945, to the late Clyde and Virginia Warren Gibbs. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, JoAnn Claypool and Linda Montgomery; and two brothers, Sammy and Billy Gibbs. He was a bartender at Indian Hills Country Club. He served in the United States Army at Fort Bliss, Texas. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Douglas M. Jones

Douglas M. Jones, 62 Danville, passed away September 27, 2013. Born June 2, 1951 in Morgantown, KY., he was the son of Ray Aisle and Mary Elizabeth Phelps Jones.  He married Barbara Shields on June 6, 1969 and she survives.  Doug worked as a machinist for Allisons Transmission for 30 years, retiring in 2004.  He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg and the Cassia Masonic Lodge #272 in Morgantown, KY.  Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Barbara S.
