James L. Greene, 77 of Arab, Alabama formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Kindred Hospital Louisville at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. James was born March 1, 1938 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late William Cleaburn and Dorothy Penner Greene. He was a retired self employed oil field business man and a Kentucky Colonel. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters Mildred Howard and Helen Tirey; four brothers William Cleaburn Greene Jr., Ralph C. Greene, Thomas Yates Greene and Richard Penner Greene.
James L. Greene is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and former wife Joanna Edmonds Greene.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, October 26, 2015 at 1:00pm with Bro. Gerald Geary officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 from 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
