Clemmie Bryant Phelps, 93 , of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 25, 1924 to the late Chester and Rosa Bell Embry Bryant .

Freeman Ward Anderson, 78, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on December 1, 1938, to the late Robert Samuel and Verdie Elizabeth Brown Anderson.  He was a graduate of Butler County High School, a member of  Union Missionary Baptist Church, Cassia Masonic Lodge # 272 F&AM.

Carlos W. Russ, 71 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at his residence. Carlos was born February 17, 1946, in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Leslie J. and Nora Bell Belilies Russ. He was retired from Morgantown Utilities after many years of service. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter Angela Faye Ryan; two brothers Edward Russ and Odell Brown and one sister Donnie Gaskey.

Clarice L. Ferguson Felty, 90, of Beaver Dam made her journey to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 16, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in Wysox, Kentucky on October 1, 1926 to the late Willie S. Ferguson and Eunice Davenport Ferguson. Mrs. Felty was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Butler County, and a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonnie Felty; daughter, Sharon Kay Sapp; sister, Dimple Lee; brother Junior Ferguson and an infant brother, Jimmy Ferguson.

Mary Susan Webster

Mary Susan Webster, 84 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday September 9, 2017 at her residence. Mary Susan was born February 10, 1933 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Lester and Golden Webster Kirby and wife of the late Roy G. Webster. She was a member of Pleasant Rock Full Gospel Church, member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, past board member of the Butler County Saddle Club and she retired from G.E. in Owensboro, Ky. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one daughter Judy McKinney and one great grandson Terry Shaw.

O.C. Henderson, 80 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. He was retired from Henderson Roofing-Continuous Guttering and Siding. He was well known for his love for horse racing and playing cards.

O.C. Henderson was born May 9, 1937 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Nedzo and Aire Wilson Henderson. He was raised by his grandmother Bertha Henderson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Garner Henderson, one sister Clara "Sissy" Brooks, one brother J T Henderson and one son in law Danny Gibson.

Shirley T. Embry

Shirley T. Embry, 81, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  She was a retired grocery store owner of Embry’s Grocery and Bait Shop in Aberdeen and worked for several years at Lakeview Nursing Home (now Morgantown Care and Rehab).  She was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church.

Norma "Dottie" Young

Norma "Dottie"  Young, 91, passed away Sunday, September 3rd at the Morgantown Care and Rehab.  She was born on August 7, 1926 in Butler County to the late Isom Henderson and Corda Ann Phelps Henderson.  Norma worked as a clerk in the Thompson Grocery and the Ed Smith store.  She was a member of the Cool Springs General Baptist for 70-plus years.  She was an avid quilter and loved to study genealogy.  Norma

Anna Mae Hatcher Lee Martin

Anna Mae Hatcher Lee Martin, 72, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 17, 1945 to the late Ernest and Mary Madgline Johnson Hatcher.  She was a member of the Morgantown Community Church,  retired from Kellwood Manufacturing after 30 plus years.   Anna loved to quilt, travel, flowers and most of all spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Shelby Lee Jr. and one niece Melissa Parks.
