James Wilbur Oliver, 81 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at his residence. James was born August 15, 1935, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Ray and Letha Tuck Oliver. He was a member of New Gasper Baptist Church and a retired truck driver for Creek Trucking in Woodburn, Kentucky. Other than his parent he is preceded in death by three sisters Barbara, Mae and Doris Oliver and four brothers Carlon, Howard, Wayne and David Oliver.

ROCHESTER- Viola M. Crume, 96, of Rochester died Sunday July 2, 2017 at Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.  She was born in Spencer County, Indiana to the late Charles M. and Dana Baum McVey.  She was a homemaker, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Olaton Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Crume, a son- Randall Kenneth Crume and a sister-Edna Greer.

Phillip Clay "Bear" Lindsey, 44 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away June 28, 2017, in Louisville, Kentucky. Phillip was born February 22, 1973, in Bowling Green Kentucky to the late James Carl "J C" and Valda Jean Howard Lindsey. He was employed by Pike Electric as a general foreman. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Elliott Lindsey.

John Michael Haynes

John Michael Haynes, 27, of  Roundhill, Ky., passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at  Saints Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, Ky.  He was born in Warren County, Ky. on February 1, 1990.   He was a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky. John loved spending time with his family, fishing, the outdoors and was a UK fan.   He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Geraldine Shockley and Patricia and John Haynes; brother James Roarx, sister Brittany Mahaney and brother-in-law Ryan Porter.

Annie Mae Embry, 91, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her residence in Morgantown.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on January 22, 1926 to the late Claude Embry & Lizzie Baize Embry.  Miss Embry attended the First Apostolic Church.  She loved to color and spend time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Embry;  one sister, Margaret Bishop; one brother- in- law, Earl Bishop Sr.; one niece Linda Nash; great nephew, Brian Fleming; great niece, Stacey Martin.

Jason Andrew Colter

Jason Andrew Colter, 43 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab.He was born August 20, 1973 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Johnny Colter and Sandra Mae Saunders Colter. Jason was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church, a 1992 graduate of Butler County High School at which time he was very active and loved serving in the FFA, a member of the 5th District Volunteer Fire Department and Butler County Rescue Squad where he loved volunteering and serving. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and muddin in his truck.

Kathryn Ruth Gerow

Kathryn Ruth Gerow "Kate", 90 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Kathryn was born August 7, 1926 in Elkland, Pennsylvania to the late Rundall and Della Austin Knapp and wife of the late Earle M. Gerow. After high school, Kate attended the Manhattan Dental Assistant School in New York City where she resided at the Anthony Women's Boarding House. She became a certified as a dental assistant in 1944. On November 15, 1944 in Knoxville, Pennsylvania she married her high school crush and love of her life, Earle Manning Gerow.

William "Billy Ray" Boisseau

William “Billy Ray” Boisseau, age 51, of Cedar Hill, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Nick Stamps officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Jackson, Brandon Bond, Mitch Bond, Drake Scarbrough, Odell Grant and Stephen Southerland serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4-8pm and again on Friday from 11am until the time of service at 1pm.

Martha Sue Neighbors, 69 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away June 17, 2017 at her residence. Martha was born July 14, 1947 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late John and Lucy Marie Engler Berg. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Herbert and Anna (Moma Sa) Engler and one great niece Jordan Johnson.
