Wanda Mae Guffy

Wanda Mae Guffy died at 90 years of age on August 30th, 2017 at The Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born February 15, 1927 to Mae and Aubrey Phelps of Eden, Kentucky in Butler County.

Wanda personified the grit, wit, and soulfulness that only a southern country girl can. Her younger years were spent working the land on her family’s farm in Butler County and learning to command the kitchen with grace.

Amos A. Gary

Amos A. Gary, 97, of Caneyville, passed away Tuesday, August 29th, 2017 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Monday, September 15th, 1919 in Grancer, KY the son of the late Anderson Blain and Martha (Lacefield) Gary. Amos was a 50+ year member of Chapel Union Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and also served in the United States Army during WWII where he received a Purple Heart and numerous other medals.

Billy Coleman

BILLY COLEMAN, 86, passed away on August 26, 2017.  He was a retired employee of Brown and Williamson, a Ky. Colonel, a member of the VFW, American Legion and Community General Baptist Church, and a Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War.  Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Shirley (Knight) Coleman; his son, John Coleman, and daughter, Debbie Coleman.
 
Survivors include his children, David Coleman and Linda Upton (Charles); 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and his special friend, Zella Maiden.

Gregory Dale Wallace, 58 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Hospice House in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Dale was born December 12, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Noble B. and Joan Willis Wallace. He was the owner and operator of Wallace Excavating.

Grace Annell Mudd

Grace Annell Mudd, age 78, departed this life on August 22, 2017. She was born the daughter of Hubert and Lorene Sanders Cooke. Annell married Elwood Mudd August 18, 1957. To this union two daughters were born, Michelle Ann Mudd Higgins and Myra Elaine Mudd Swift.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Mudd and her parents, Hubert and Lorene Sanders Cooke.

Betty Faye Ingram, 64, daughter of Charles and Mildred Ingram, went peacefully home to heaven surrounded by her family, Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Betty Faye was the heart of her family.
She loved family get togethers and was an avid UK basketball fan. The thing she enjoyed most was crocheting with her sister, Violet Kay.

Jarald Haydon Jenkins

Jarald Haydon Jenkins (JJ), 73 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on August 22, 2017, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Jarald was born and raised in Gilstrap, Kentucky to the late Marvin Lee "AppleMan" Jenkins and Carmen Howard Richardson who survives. Other than his father he is preceded in death by two brothers - Gary Lee Jenkins and one nephew Scott Jenkins.

Henrietta Anne Sears Greathouse, 91 of Pleasant View, TN  passed away August 19, 2017, at her residence. Henrietta was born May 25, 1926 in Prince George County, Maryland to the late Grover and Eugie Sears. She was a member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two daughters Franis Gayle Greathouse and Sonia Morphis; son in law Tommy Morphis as well as, four brothers and three sisters.

Merley "Bobby" Grise, 91 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Colonial Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She was born Wednesday, December 9, 1925 in Butler Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Claude Penrod and the late Lettie Gaston Penrod. She was the wife of the late Dee Nova Grise.

She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
