Tyldesley Lee "Mammie" Buchanan

Tyldesley Lee "Mammie" Buchanan, 91, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 6:00PM at her home. Mrs. Buchanan was born March 20, 1924, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Baptist Church in Logan County. She was preceded in death by her father, Elza Harper; mother Leavie Harper; husband Joe Buchanan; son William Buchanan; and ten brothers and sisters.

Henry G. Lindsey

Henry G. Lindsey, 87, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born June 18, 1928, in Ohio County to the late William Lindsey and Sarah Voyles Johnson.

He was a member of Rosine Baptist Church and worked on the drag line at Pyramid Coal Company. Henry spent a lot of time visiting his friends because he loved to talk, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.

Helen Fishburn

Helen Deel Fishburn, 82 of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown, Ky.  Helen was born in Warren Co., Ky. on May 1, 1933 to Alonzo and Eva Belcher Deel.  She worked  many years at  Kane's Manufacturing and at several Nursing Homes.  Helen loved sewing and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Samuel C. Fishburn;  brothers Lonnie Deel, Waymon Deel, Wade Deel, M.R. Deel, Clay Deel, J. Martin Deel, William Deel, and sister Lucile Martin.

William L. "Bill" Cook

William L. "Bill" Cook, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at the Hospice of Southern Ky. Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Bill was born on Saturday January 24, 1931 in Morgantown, Ky. to the late J. Guy and Lena Henry Cook. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, an ordained minister pastoring at Clarkson Baptist Church in Clarkson, Kentucky, Penrod Baptist Church in Penrod Kentucky, and Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church. He played a active part in the Gasper River Baptist Association and also served as chaplain at the Green River Boys Camp for 17 years.

Michael "Tony" Bell

Michael "Tony" Bell, 48, of  Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky. on August  22, 1967  to Jim and the late Theresa Crabtree Bell.  Tony was a truck driver for several companies including Rone Trucking.   He was an avid UK basketball and NASCAR fan.  He was preceded in death by his mother, wife Charlotte Bell, grandparents Fred and Virginia Crabtree, Ezekiel and Izella Bell and grandson  Dominick  Reynolds.

Christopher Lavon McLean

Christopher Lavon McLean, 44 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday September 12, 2015 at his residence. Christopher was born December 11, 1970 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to the late Charles "Mac" and JoAnn Bennett McLean who survives. He worked as a handyman for Roger Keown and is preceded in death by his father, two brothers Mark Robert McLean and Mitchell Ray Vertress and one sister Monica Buckles.

Vonda Sue Markham

Vonda Sue Markham, 79 of Dunmor, Kentucky died on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Dunmor, Kentucky.

She was born Friday, December 6, 1935 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Henry Whitney and the late Josie Wilson Whitney.

She was a housekeeper for Lake Malone Inn and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ.

Douglas Warren McCoy

Douglas Warren McCoy, 85 of Bowling Green, KY went to be with the Lord Thursday September 10, 2015, when Jesus whispered his name. He was the son of the late Warren and Euna Hill McCoy. Douglas was born in Butler County. He worked for the J.C. Hopper Oil Company, Dale Sales Company and retired from Western Kentucky University. Douglas was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon at Forrest Park Baptist Church, where in served faithfully for 38 years.

Linda Faye West, 54, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday,  September 11, 2015 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Linda was born on April 22, 1961  in Scottsburg, In. to the late Julian and Ella Schmidt West.  She was a homemaker, loved watching tv and couponing, she also loved to cook.   She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jimmy West.

Troy Penrod

Troy Lee Penrod, 82 of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on  May 6, 1933 to Jesse and Irene Smith Penrod.  Mr. Penrod was a Korean War Veteran. Had a long career as Aviation Hydraulics Specialist. He was a member of USTA, United States Trotting Association. Troy was an avid coon hunter, he enjoyed fishing, hunting ,dog trading and flea markets.   He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Gerald Penrod.
