Dennis L. Gill

Dennis L. Gill, 58 of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on August 6, 2015 surrounded by love ones. Dennis was born on Sunday October 4, 1956 in Bowling Green, Ky. to the late Genie and Helen Tinsley Gill. He was a retired truck driver and preceded in death by his parents, one son Robbie Gill and three brothers John, Frank and Virgil Gill.

TSgt. Charles James Evans USAF(Ret)

Charles Evans, 85, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015.

Charles was born on August 22, 1929 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. He proudly served in the United States Air Force retiring as Tech Sergeant after 23 years of service. Charles then continued his career as head Mechanic at Flint EMC. He was a Charter Member of the VFW Post #654 in Macon. In his spare time Charles enjoyed fishing, cows, and farming. Above all else Charles loved his family and his beloved dog Bobo.

His parents, Jesse James and Myrtle Gary Evans, and brother, Jesse James Evans, preceded him in death.

Pokie Pearl McCoy, 87 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 at the Magnolia Village Care & Rehab in Bowling Green, Ky. Pokie was born on Tuesday March 20, 1928 in Butler County to the late Virdi and Eula Ann Arnold Givens and wife of the late Prentice Edward McCoy. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Kanes Sewing Factory in Morgantown, Ky. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Prentice Alexander McCoy, two sisters Nokie Bell Farris and Ona Meril (Jerry) O'Neil and three brothers Ellis Dee Givens, Clarence E.

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Ford

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Ford age 67 of Louisville was born August 14, 1947 to the late William J. and Mary C. Hutchinson Ford and returned to his Heavenly Father July 30,2015 while surrounded by his family. Mr. Ford was a retired forklift operator with Graphic Packaging and Local 89. Jerry loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.

Evelyn McClellan Byers, 75, of Drakesboro died Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
She was born in Muhlenberg County February 9, 1940. She taught in and retired from the Muhlenberg County School System. She was proofreader/ editor for Heart to Heart Publishing of Morgantown KY and was a feature writer for Miss Kitty's Journal, the official magazine of the Red Hat Society. Evelyn enjoyed reading, writing, photography, quilting, and sewing. Her book, Lovers, Liars, and Little Ones: A Potpourri of Stories, Poems and Humor, was published in 2007.

David Griffin "Tut" Miller, III

U.S. Veteran David Griffin Miller, III, age 77 of Sowers Place, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning July 29, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 3, 2015 at First United Methodist Church by Rev. Jamie Armstrong and Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. There will be no public visitation. Inurnment in the church Columbarium will be private.

Marshall T. Geary, Sr., 81, of Cromwell, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Marshall was born on January 13, 1934 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Ernest H. and Myrtle Smith Geary. He was a United States Army Veteran and was retired from the Ford Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lloyd Seldon Stevenson, 89 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, Kentucky.

He was born Tuesday, March 23, 1926 in Logan Co., KY the son of the late Jim Stevenson and the late Marion London. He was the husband of the late June Clover Stevenson.

He had been a share cropper and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Nancy Cornett, 62, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence.  She was born in Louisville, Ky. on Jan. 5, 1953 to the late Harvey and Billie June Douglas Hardegree.  Nancy was a former Medical Assistant and loved animals.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Billie June Hardegree.
