William “Tony” Duncan

William “Tony” Duncan, 49, of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at his residence. 

He was born on Tuesday, September 19th, 1967 in Ohio County, the son of Hubert and Lorena (Hayes) Duncan. Tony was a roofer and a farmer. He also enjoyed working on lawn mowers and weedeaters, riding motorcycles and his horse, Blue.

Juanita June Vance, 85, of Bowling Green entered into rest Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. Juanita was born May 12, 1932 in Logan Co., KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl D. Vance, her parents John and Myra Cain Sweatt. Juanita was  a retired sales associate at Castner-Knott Co. and member of Woodburn Church of Christ.

Cula Mae Blunk, age 70 of Bowling Green, Ky. Cula passed away at the Signature Health Care in Bowling Green on Wednesday, July 26th. She was born on October 2, 1946 to the late Charlie Blunk and Natie Durbin Blunk. Services will be held Monday at Smith Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral. Burial will follow in the Threlkel Cemetery.

Corey N. Millay, 26, died Thursday, July 27, in Warren County, KY. She was born October 22, 1990 in Daviess County to Ricky Louis Millay and Cynthia Nolen Millay. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. Corey was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School where she played basketball and was an incredible volleyball player. She enjoyed playing softball with her TKY Coed league in Morgantown and had a fierce love for Kentucky Wildcat Basketball. She adored her daughter and best friend, Adalyn, whom she had a special connection with.

JoAnn Bennett McLean, 77 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at the T J Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. JoAnn was born March 26, 1940, in Warren County Kentucky to the late Harry and Nora Cook Bennett and wife of the late Charles "Mac" McLean Jr. She was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church and a retired CNA from Lakeview Nursing Home.

Alma (Hack) Embry, 93, of Welchs Creek, passed away Monday, July 24th, 2017 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. 

She was born on Tuesday, January 15th, 1924 in Louisville, the daughter of the late James Walter and Irene (Pryor) Hack. Alma was a member of the Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy. She loved to read and work in her flower and vegetable garden.

Anita Gary Mills

Anita Gary Mills, 89, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was a native of Butler County, KY, was a graduate of Morgantown High School and attended the former St. Helena’s Business College in Louisville.  Anita was retired from South Central Bell with 38 plus years of service.  She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church for over fifty years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.  Anita was a former volunteer with the American Red Cross and Christian Social Ministries Office at her church.

Sara Rector Meisel, age 94 of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest July 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Clifton Dunn Rector and Venus Cox Rector and wife of the late Charles A. Meisel. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Meisel Annis; sister, Frankie Rector Martin and brothers Harold Rector and Elston Rector.

Terry Brad Shaw, 19, of  Roundhill, Ky., passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.  He was born in Franklin, IN. on June 15, 1998.  He was a drywall finisher, graduated from Butler Co. High School where he was a member of the JROTC and earned several certificates from the Butler Co.
