Clemmie Bryant Phelps, 93 , of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 25, 1924 to the late Chester and Rosa Bell Embry Bryant .  She was a member of  Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. Ms. Phelps sold Avon for 25years and loved to collect Barbie dolls . She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred Ray Phelps; grandson Jamie Embry and one step-great granddaughter Regan Meredith.

Ms. Phelps  is survived by her three sons Chester Ray Phelps, Bobby Joe Phelps (Alice), William Alfred Phelps (Brenda) all of Morgantown,  one daughter Loretta Mae Johnson (Glendel) of Morgantown; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild on the way; 1 step-granddaughter;  2 step- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist on Friday, Sept.22, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Greg Fields officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Chapel Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept.21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, Morgantown, Ky.
