Lora Ann Gibbs

Lora Ann Gibbs, 46 of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. Lora was born May 21, 1967 in Butler County Kentucky to the late William and Barbara Haynes Givens. She was preceded in death by one niece Lori Haley.


Imogene Myrl Burden

Imogene Myrl Burden, 81 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at  Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown, Ky. Myrl was born March 6, 1932, in Butler County  to the late Lonnie and Stella Cardwell Brooks and wife of the late Paul Burden. She was a member of Leonard Oak Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one grandson Kevin Burden and one great granddaughter Syerra Burden.


Jerry Edward Federspiel

Jerry Edward Federspiel, of Fort Wayne, died on June, June 17, 2013. Born May 22, 1942, in Columbia City, he was a son of Dorothy E. Jones (stepfather, Dean Tinney) and the late Andy L. Federspiel. He was raised and lived in Fort Wayne. He graduated from North Side High School in June of 1960. He entered the U.S. Air Force and retired in August of 1981 as a Master Sergeant.


Ruby Lee Smith

Ruby Lee Smith, age 66, of Olaton, KY, passed away Monday, (June 17, 2013) at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on November 23, 1946, in Manchester, KY, the daughter of the late Enoch and Elsie Caudill Gray.

She was a housewife, who enjoyed writing to over 200 pen pals and volunteering. She was a member of the Prayer Pal’s Group on the internet, the Handicapped Friends, the Forty Sixers club and attended Small Grove Church.


Marshall D. Devine Jr.

Marshall D. Devine Jr. of Rochester, Ky. passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 at his residence. Marshall was born January 2, 1936 in Beechcreek, Ky. in Muhlenberg County to the late Marshall D.and Edna Hill Devine Sr.. He served in the United States Navy for 17 years. Preceded in death by one son Lonnie D. Devine, one daughter Deborah D. Devine and one granddaughter Cailey D. Evans.


Gene Boaz

Gene DeWitt Boaz, 60 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mr. Boaz was born August 22, 1952 in Warren County, to Holland E. Boaz and Polly Ann Warren Boaz who both survive. Mr. Boaz was a Certified Public Accountant, Member of the American Institute Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Omicron Delta Kappa. Gene loved working in his flower beds, gardening and landscaping around his home.


Herbert H. Hunt

Herbert H Hunt, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (June 14, 2013) at the Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on June 14, 1928 in Morgantown, KY, the son of the late Theodore Crenshaw and Nevada Smith Hunt.

He was retired from General Electric, who sang and enjoyed Southern Gospel. He was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church.


Edward O. Whitfield

Edward O. Whitfield passed away on June 4, 2013.  He was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky.  He was the son of P.O. and Mabel Whitfield and the nephew of O.C. Whitfield, who served in the Kentucky State Senate from Madisonville from 1937 to 1940 and was President of the Kentucky Farm Bureau in 1935.

E.O. worked for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and its successor companies, the Seaboard System Railroad and CSX Corporation for 44 years.  He was a Master Mason and member of EW Turner Lodge #548 and a member of St. John Methodist Church.


Arthur T. Kessinger

Arthur "Pops" Kessinger, 92  of  Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the Henderson Nursing & Rehab Center in Henderson, Ky. Mr. Kessinger was born August 22, 1920 in Butler County. He was retired from a furniture factory. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Myrl Kessinger and father Cecil Kessinger.


Guy E. Stevens, Jr

Guy E. Stevens, Jr., 84, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at his home. He was born July 18, 1928 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Guy E. Stevens, Sr. and Jeannetta Francis Stevens. He was retired from E & L Transport as a truck driver. He grew up a member of the Methodist faith and a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, motorcycles and shooting pool.
