Oneida Cartwright Tyree, 92, of Lewisburg, Ky. passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Ky. She was born in Madisonville, Ky. on Nov. 1, 1925 to the late Vernie and Leora Thomason Cartwright. She was a member of Caney Fork Presbyterian Church, worked at Ken Rad and Fruit of the Loom for several years, loved to read and quilt.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arvin B. Tyree; daughter Judy Edmonds; brothers Robert and Paul Cartwright; sister Laura Cartwright; nephews Tony Daniel and Danny Westerfield; niece Kathy Sanders.
 Oneida is survived by her son Phillip Tyree (Mariafe) of Lewisburg; grandchildren Laura Ann Nash, Mamie Clayton, Robert Tyree, Arvin Tyree, Alexandria Tyree, Alfonso Delacruz, Jimmy Burton, David Burton and Jonathan Washer; several great and great great grandchildren; sisters Helen Daniel of Rockfield, Ky., Sarah Kebortz of In. and Mary Westerfield of Owensboro, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 19 at 12 pm with Bro. Don Crousore officiating.  Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18 from 4-8pm and on Monday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
