Alta "Doodle" Akin Neal, 90, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was born in Dunbar, Ky. on June 30, 1925 to the late John and Letha Bingham Akin.  Ms. Neal was a member of Carve Rock Baptist Church and was a retired cook at Lakeview Nursing Home.  She enjoyed quilting, gardening and crocheting.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Albert Neal; brothers, Wendell and Robert Akin; sister, Clarise Akin; 2 sons in law, Estill Gidcumb and Kenneth Brashars.

Sarah Johnson, 85, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. 

She was born on Wednesday, June 11th, 1930 in Hikes Falls, the daughter of the late John William and Bessie (Baize) Payton. She was a member of the Yeaman Church of Christ.   

Randy Earl Wilson, 52 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday February 6, 2016 at his residence. Randy was born February 4, 1964 in Warren County Kentucky to the late Randy Wood and Mavis Givens Caudill who survives. He was employed by Heritage Farms. Other than his father he is preceded in death by two sisters Martha Wilson and Wilma Wood .

Dimple Leavon Burden Burch 73, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away at 6:32 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

Jeffery Lynn Whitaker, 55 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday February 3, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Jeffery was born on Sunday July 24, 1960 in Ohio County Kentucky to James and Edith Daugherty Whitaker. He was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and former owner of Whitakers Pallet Co. until 2004. He was a devoted man of God, loved his family and a avid UK Wildcat fan.

Boyce Dale Flener II, 53, of Morgantown died on February 2, 2016, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky, in Bowling Green, KY. He was born in Warren County on Sunday, April 8, 1962 to Boyce Dale and Linda Coots Flener.

Vina Jane Howard, 61 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Vina was born on Wednesday, September 15, 1954 in Warren County Kentucky to the late Charles Edward Cox and Dorothy Cox Keown Pendley. She is preceded in death by one brother Robert Tessley Cox, one niece Veronica Ann "Bonnie" Rothwall and one nephew Robert Thomas "Robbie" Cox.

Edward L. Russ, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday,January 27, 2016 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. Ed was born on Friday October 14, 1938 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Leslie Jasper Russ and Nora Beliles Russ. He was retired from the City of Morgantown as Public Work Director. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter Vonda Gale Russ, one sister Donnie Gaskey and one brother Odell Brown. 

Diedra "Die" Wilson, 92, of  Morgantown, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was born in Butler Co. on October 15,1923 to
 the late Sherman and Okla Small Lee. She was a homemaker and a member of Flatwood Church of Christ.  Diedra loved her grandchildren, flowers and gardening.   Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chalmer (Toy) Wilson and siblings Talmage Lee, Lerema Legge and Tracy Lee.

Robert M. Mitchell, 64 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Morgantown, Ky. He was born on Wednesday, December 12, 1951 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Justis and Helen Morris Mitchell. Robert was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church and loved to hunt, fish, and do anything outdoors.
