Betty J. Embry, 80, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Central City, Ky. on July 4, 1937 to the late Marion “Whit” and Nervie Stanley Harrison. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the Morgantown Mission, loved taking care of beautiful roses and her neighbors.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband George W. Embry; son Ricky Embry; grandson Rick Nicholas Embry; several brothers and sisters.
 
Betty is survived by children Calvin J. Embry (Marci) of Wayne City, Il., Christopher Embry (Marybeth Silver) of Bowling Green, Ky., Erdest “Bucky” Embry of Wayne City, Il., Angela “Annie” Coy (Adam) of Beaver Dam, Ky. and Vicky Cardwell of Auburn, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Kirkwood, Charles, Gayle and Jamie Harrison; sister Eva Carden; several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 1 pm with Bro. Pete Phelps officiating.  Burial will be in the Wade Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 5-8 pm and Thursday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
