Thomas "Tommy" Sweat

Thomas “Tommy” Sweat, 74, of Sebring, FL, passed away peacefully at home.  He was born in Owensboro on April 17, 1943 to the late Edward Sweat and Lena May Wright Sweat.  Tommy was a member of Dawson Springs Baptist Church.  He was a clarinet player, he loved music and enjoyed architecture.  He was a master of all trades, and there was nothing he could not do.  He retired after 40 years from Sweat Brothers Garage, where he was an owner/operator.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geneva Phelps Sweat, his children Lisa (Bob) Sweat Vrabic of Ackworth, GA, Keith Sweat of Paris, KY, Holly (Roy Sanderfur) Sweat and 6 grandchildren.

A Prayer Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with burial to follow at Grant Phelps Cemetery in Butler County, KY (which is just outside Morgantown, KY), maps will be available.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
