Butler County Football hosted the Edmonson County Wildcats on Friday night. The Beach Theme took over the stands, Little Cheerleaders, cheerleaders, the band, NJROTC, fans, and Jr. Pro Football players.
The BCMS Bears Football traveled to Muhlenberg Middle School on Tuesday, August 14 for their second game of the regular season. 8th grade moved to 2-0 with an impressive win over the Mustangs by a score of 30-14.
The Butler County Lady Bears Volleyball team continued their winning streak Tuesday night by defeating Caverna. In the first set the Lady Bears played good and were consistent. Hannah Whittinghill and Autumn Gidcumb showed their serving skills were too much for Caverna to handle. Solid interior passing and good sets helped Delaina Flener complete several spikes as the Lady Bears won the first set easily 25-7. Set two was a different story.
The Edmonson County Wildcats travel to Morgantown on Friday night for what they hope will be their second win on the young season.Meanwhile, the Butler County Bears will be hoping to erase last week's loss to Logan and secure their first win on the season in front of a home crowd.
The Logan County Cougars (Class 4A) took control of the game early on Friday night and proved to be too much for the visiting Bears, who fell 57-0 in the season opener.Butler trailed 44-0 at the half and a KHSAA-mandated running clock (36-point margin) was put in place during the second quarter.

With an "old" new head coach at the helm, the Butler County High School Bears are hoping to turn things around in 2018 from a win-less 2017 season.Head Coach Brandon Embry, who has 13 years of coaching experience with the Bears, knows it won't be easy but he is looking forward to the challenge.
