BCHS Volleyball Wraps Up a Successful Season

The 2018 Lady Bears Volleyball season came to an end Monday night at Edmonson County, where they were defeated in the first round of district play by Whitesville Trinity.  Butler was the 3 seed and Trinity was the 2 seed in the district, with Grayson as the 1 seed and Edmonson as the 4 seed.  A disappointing end to a very good season for the volleyball program that finished with a record of 11-10.  This is the best record the program has ever had.  Grayson County was victorious over Edmonson County in the first game of the district tournament.  Tuesday night Trinity defeated Grayson to win

One consistent part of John Calipari’s recruiting since he arrived at Kentucky is that he always like to target a point guard early to solidify that position and also hopefully use him to help recruit other players.

That’s why it was significant when Calipari recently made his first point guard scholarship offer in the 2020 recruiting class to Jeremy Roach of Fairfax, Va.

BCMS Football Moves to 5-2 on the Season

After a couple of tough losses last week, the BCMS Bears Football team headed to Grayson County for a must win game against the Cougars.  During the 7th grade game neither the Bears nor the Cougars were able to get on the scoreboard during regulation or the first overtime.  It wasn't until the second overtime that quarterback Kyle Chambers was able to connect with Gage Beasley in the endzone for 6 points.  The Bears were unable to get the 2 point conversion, but it didn't matter because their defense kept the Cougars from scoring allowing the Bears to win with a score of 6-0.
