Butler County Bassmasters held their third Team Trail tournament of the 2018 season at Nolin Lake on Saturday May the 19th. The fish are in all stages of the spawn, with the bigger ones still on bed or pre-spawn. Nolin Lake has always been fun, providing excellent numbers of keeper sized bass, and Saturday was no different with nearly every boat weighing in a 5 fish limit.

There was a good turnout with Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors taking 1^st place with 14.52 lbs.,

BROWNSVILLE - Butler County passed its first test in the postseason, beating Whitesville Trinity 7-2 in the opening round of the 12th District Softball Tournament at Edmonson County on Wednesday.

With the win, Butler County improved to 18-9 and advances to the 12th District title game.

LEITCHFIELD - Butler County is set to face Grayson County in the opening round of the 12th District Baseball Tournament on the Cougars' home field on Monday. First pitch for the Butler County-Grayson County postseason matchup is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Leitchfield.

The ButlerCounty Softball team honored their two seniors Olivia Jones and Tori McKinney on Monday and their alumni and Jr. Pro players on Tuesday night.

Based on the results of both of the 2018 NASP® Eastern and Western National Tournaments and using rosters of all registered Academic Archers, NASP® announces it third All-American Academic Teams in Elementary, Middle School, and High School Divisions.

The Butler County Track & Field athletes were honored on Friday night at the baseball game.
Daltyn Havens is the son of Lloyd and Tabby Havens.  He has been on the track team for three years and football for 15 years.  He plans to graduate high school and begin work.  His favorite memory is winning state in football in 2012 and being in Mr. Shockley's class and Mr. Collins.
