Mildred Colburn

Mildred Colburn, 95, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away at 9:50 p.m. on July 18, 2013, at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Mildred was born in Butler County on May 27, 1918, to the late Bishop and Brilla Johnson. She was a member of the Ridgeview Mennonite Church and a homemaker. 

Mildred Colburn is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Randy "Horseshoe" Flener

Randy "Horseshoe" Flener, 49, of Elizabethtown, Illinois, formerly of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was an active member of the United States Army for 10 years and spent time stationed in Germany and Korea. He was a former truck driver and an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Lillian Henderson Givens age 77 of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence.

A native of Morgantown, KY she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ruby Peay. She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert Lewis Henderson; son, 1st LT Robert Lewis Henderson, II.

Billy Tarrance, 66, of Caneyville passed away Sunday, July 14th, 2013 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. 

He was born on June 26th, 1947 in Grayson County, the son of the late James and Mary Lee (Mollyhorn) Tarrance. He was a retired farmer.

Olivia "Ollie" Jane Hatcher

Olivia "Ollie" Jane Hatcher, 73, of Morgantown, KY left this earthly home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center. Ollie was born January 23, 1940 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Oval and Hazel Staton Flener and she was wife of the late Loy Delton Hatcher. She was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron Bratcher.

Neva Mae Dockery Pharris

Neva Mae Dockery Pharris, 75, of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Neva was born August 15, 1937 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Opal and Eva White Dockery and she was the wife of the late Huston M. Pharris. Neva was a member and deacon's wife at Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and was retired from Morgantown Plastic and as a CNA at Morgantown Care and Rehab. She was preceded in death by one brother, Helbert Dockery, and one sister, Faye Sorrells.

Thomas "T.O." Owen Hampton

Thomas "T.O." Owen Hampton, 78, of  Floyds Knobs, Indiana, formerly of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his residence. T.O. was born March 11, 1935 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late William Paul and Margaret Haskell Penick Hampton. He was a retired state government office manager and a member of First Southern Baptist of Floyds Knobs. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Gideons International.

Wendell "Wimp" Gates Mayes

Wendell "Wimp" Gates Mayes, 80, of Rochester, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Kentucky.  

Wendell was born May 8, 1933 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Bilson and Ellie Gates Mayes and was the husband of the late Mavis Imogene Jenkins Mayes. He was a Korean War Army veteran, retired from TVA, attended Rochester Baptist Church, and was an avid UK fan. Mayes was preceded in death by two brothers - Clifford and Tom Mayes.

Patricia Erdean Glass

Patricia Erdean Glass, 72,  of Quality, Ky. passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her residence. Ms. Glass was born March 5, 1941 in Butler County, to the late Cleborne Belcher and Zelma "Mammy" Bowers Belcher.  She was a retired  CNA, who enjoyed  reading, cooking and spending time with her  grandchildren. Ms. Glass attended Caney Fork Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William K. "Jim" Glass, one great grandchild, Skylar Shepherd and one step grandchild, Terri Anne Givens.

Ilene Borah

Ilene Borah, age 96, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center. Ilene was born on March 1, 1917 to the late Virdie and Lelia Hatcher Proctor.  She was the wife of the late Sherman D. Borah. Ilene Borah was a store clerk and a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Borah; two sisters, Hazel Campfield and Elizabeth Wilson; one brother, Noatley Proctor.
