Randy "Horseshoe" Flener

Randy "Horseshoe" Flener, 49, of Elizabethtown, Illinois, formerly of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was an active member of the United States Army for 10 years and spent time stationed in Germany and Korea. He was a former truck driver and an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Janetta (Osman) Flener and son, Ryder Flener, of Elizabethtown, IL; two daughters, Brandy Flener of Morgantown, KY and Shawna Hodgkins (Chris), of Louisville, KY; parents Dyke and Lucy McKinney of Morgantown, KY; parents-in-law Jerry and Modenne Osman of Harrisburg, IL; one brother, Pat Flener (Stacy) of Morgantown, KY; one sister, Sandra McKinney of Morgantown, KY; one brother-in-law, Greg Osman (Opal) of Harrisburg, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Ira and Elizabeth Woodcock of Morgantown, KY and Mondie and Louise McKinney of Morgantown, KY.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of services. Visitation will be Thursday July 18, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Friday July 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Curry will officiate the services. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ryder Flener Memorial Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
