Shirley Wayne West

Shirley Wayne West, 72 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his residence. Shirley was born November 20, 1940 in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Myrtle Stewart West. He was a member of Valley Station Church of Christ and retired from Philip Morris in Louisville, Ky. He was preceded in death by one brother William West; brother in- laws Delmus Johnson and Jerry Embry; father and mother in- law Hesbie and Helen Embry and sister in- law Judy Longhenry.

Timothy Kirk Madison

Timothy Kirk Madison 22, of Bowling Green passed away Monday April 29, 2013, at 2:49 am in Bowling Green. Kirk was born July 3, 1990 in Bowling Green, KY. He was preceded in death by his father Mark T. Madison.

Kirk was a veteran of the U. S. Marines, graduate of  Butler Co. High School in 2008 and was a member of the Church of Christ faith. He loved the outdoors hunting, working on his car and motorcycles and being with his family and friends. Kirk always had a smile and never met a stranger and loved his Marine family. Always lived life to the fullest.

Wanema Carroll, 78 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her residence. Wanema was born November 20, 1934 to the late Ross and Nannie Gary Ingram and wife of the late Charles Carroll. She was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver. Ms. Carroll is preceded in death by 3 sons Ross, Len and Neil Carroll.

Thomas E. Salmon, 76, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 19th, 1936 in Grayson County, the son of the late Fonzy and Maggie (McClellan) Salmon. He was a self-employed flooring installer and also an avid hunter. Thomas loved classic hot rods. He was a member of the Yeaman Church of Christ.

William C. Spence

William C. Spence, 77 of Owensboro, Ky. died April 19, 2013, at his home. He was born December 18, 1935 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Mary Ruth and William C. Spence, Sr. He retired as a truck driver for Whirlpool Corporation and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Jean Roberts on August 2, 2010 and 2 sisters Glayds Payne and Doris Worthington.

Alta Barrow McKinney

Alta Barrow McKinney, 88,  of Lexington, Kentucky, formally of Butler County, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Edgemont Healthcare in Cynthiana, Ky. Mrs. McKinney was born June 22, 1924 in Warren County to the late Elzie Barrow and Ellen Muntz Barrow.  She was a longtime seamstress at Kanes and a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Earl McKinney, one daughter Dianne Lane and brother Estill Barrow.

Patricia Ann Johnson Hunt

Patricia Ann Johnson Hunt, 44 of Russellville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashvlle, TN. Patricia was born February 4, 1969 to the late Elvis Curtis Johnson and Wanda Turner Johnson who survives. She was preceded in death by one nephew John Curtis Childres.

Juanita Faye Woodcock, 67, of Caneyville passed away Thursday, April 18th, 2013 at the Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. 

She was born on October 29th, 1945 in Butler County, the daughter the late Damon and Christal (Embry) Woodcock. She was a bus driver for the Butler County School System.

William "Bill" Lawrence

William B. Lawrence Jr., 74,  of Woodbury, Ky. passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. Mr. Lawrence was born October 13, 1938 in Warren County, to the late William B. Lawrence Sr. and Mary Lydia Neighbors Lawrence.  He served in the Air Force for 8 years and was in the Reserves until retirement, was a  member of the Bowling Green #73 Masonic Lodge, member of Woodbury Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer, former Mayor of Woodbury, Board Member of the Butler Co.

Glen Brown

Glen Woodrow Brown, 92 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence. Glen was born March 13, 1921 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Ira and Nellie Askew Brown and husband of the late Virginia Lucille Lindsey Brown. He was a retired farmer, WWII Army Veteran and was of the Church of Christ Faith. He was preceded in death by one son Ricky Brown; sister Lorene Lee and 4 brothers Boyce, Reno, Vane and Mandell Brown.
