Lillian Henderson Givens age 77 of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence.

A native of Morgantown, KY she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ruby Peay. She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert Lewis Henderson; son, 1st LT Robert Lewis Henderson, II.

Lillian is survived by her husband Cortland Givens of Murray, KY; daughter, Jackie Hawkins and son-in-law Joel Hawkins of Bowling Green, KY; daughter-in-law, Lisa Henderson of Bowling Green, KY; 2 stepsons, Harold Givens of Paducah, KY and Mike Givens of Murray, KY; 2 grandchildren, Jackson Hawkins and P.J. Henderson; step grandson, Dylan Givens.

Lillian was a member of Rockfield United Methodist Church and worked as a bookkeeper at Deemer’s Florist for 30 years. Lillian loved taking care of her family, customers at Deemer’s and animals. There was never a stray that couldn’t find a home at Lillian’s.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Rockfield United Methodist Church at 5:00 P.M. A private inurnment will be in Bowling Green Gardens. The family will receive guests from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Rockfield Methodist Church.
