Alfred Decker

Alfred Decker, 82 of Morgantown  passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Mr. Decker was born March 27, 1930 in Butler Co. to the late Harrison and Fannie Burden Decker. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Ossie Burden and Hally Myrl Hardin; one infant sister Lois Decker; two infant brothers David & Robert Decker. Mr. Decker was a Retired Machinist and attended Leonard Oak General Baptist Church.

Kathleen " Kathy" Harris Cockrill

Kathleen " Kathy" Harris Cockrill, 93, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died quietly in her sleep on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. Mrs. Cockrill, daughter of the late Clifford and Alma Pruett Harris of Scottsville was born in Scottsville on April 3, 1919. She married Willard Cockrill of Scottsville on August 25, 1945. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2000. Kathleen and Willard resided in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she attended Bowling Green Business University, and she retired as the office manager for Drs. Kafoglis, Hatcher & Dobson.

John Douglas West, 64 of Morgantown  passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Mr. West was born June 12, 1947 in Butler Co. to the late John & Letha Stewart West. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Willard West. He was a past employee of IGA.

Craig A. Cannon, 53 of Bowling Green, Ky, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Warren County native, son of the late Harold E. Cannon and Opal Brown Cannon who survives. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bowling Green. Preceded in death by one brother, Monte Cannon and his grandparents, Herman and Betty Cannon and Nora Russ and Strawther Brown.

Susan Minton Hawkins

Susan Minton Hawkins, 48, of Lebanon, Tennessee died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in September of 1963 in Owensboro, Ky., to Sue Mellott Minton of Lebanon and the late Jerry Lynn Minton. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Watertown.

Mollee Elizabeth Embry, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. She was the daughter of Clayton and Ashlee Sermon Embry who survives. She was preceded in death by great grandparents; paternal, Hayward and Betty Lou Embry, Anna Rose Burden, maternal, David Combs; maternal great great grandparents Woodard and Eileen Leftwich and one aunt Delaina Brooke Embry.

Evanice Renfrow, 99 of Louisville went home to be with the lord and the love of her life Rev. Edward Renfrow on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her residence.  She was born July 15, 1912 in Butler Co. to the late Cleveland and Polly Meredith Phelps. She was a homemaker and a member of  Temple Hill Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five sons Arthur, Allen, Weldon, Dallas and David Renfrow.

Doris Embry Merritt

Doris passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012.  She died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease and chronic leukemia.

Laquietta Caddell

Laquietta J. Caddell, 73 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. in Morgantown, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Ruby Decker Brown and wife of the late Ralph Caddell. Laquietta was a retired cafeteria cook at the federal building. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
