Annetta Kessinger

Annetta Kitchens Kessinger, 84 of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Mrs. Kessinger was born October 11, 1927 in Butler County, Ky. to the late Frank and Daisy Dean Orange Kitchens and wife of the late Oscar Allen Kessinger. She was a homemaker and attended New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Tom Kitchens and Dwight Kitchens and 3 sisters Dixie Humphrey, Captola Sublett and Edna Earl Burden.

Brenda "BB" Webster

Brenda "BB" Webster, 59 of Morgantown, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at her residence in Morgantown. Ms. Webster was born May 12, 1953 in Butler County to the late David and Louise Jenkins Webster. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one brother, David Lynn Webster, and one nephew, David Kessinger.

Hilery "Jim Bat" Johnson Jr. age 83 of Morgantown Ky., passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence in Morgantown, Kentucky. Mr. Johnson was born on December 28, 1928, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Hilery Sr. and Allie Mae Young Johnson. He was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church, Cassia Masonic Lodge #272, Butler County Shrine Club, The Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Butler County Fox Hunters Club.

Mark Allen Hudson, age 52 of Morgantown, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Hudson was born February 14, 1960 to the late Jesse James Hudson and Dorothy Lee Woodcock Hudson who survives. He was a Baptist and a construction worker. He was preceded in death by 1 brother Jesse Dewain Hudson.

Irene Wilson, age 88 of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Morgantown. Ms. Wilson was born April 11, 1924 in Butler County to the late James Ellis and Sally D. Geary Embry. She was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Ms. Wilson is preceded in death by husbands Everett Wilson and Gordan Wilson, 1 sister Bonnie Embry Renfrow, 2 brothers Foy Ertest Embry and Ustis Embry, 1 niece Marzola Embry Wilson, 1 great-nephew Kendell Ray Phelps, 1 step-son Gordan Wilson Jr., and 2 step-grandchildren.

Ava Margaret Brown, 55  of Old Hickory, Tn., passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Alive Hospice at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, Tn. Mrs. Brown was born July 25, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George W. Smith Jr. & Mildred Katherine Johnson Smith. She was an Alteration Manager for Dillard's at the Rivergate Mall in Goodlettsville, Tn. She was preceded in death by one brother Marvin Lee Smith.

Charles McLean

Charles "Mac" McLean Jr., age 81 of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green Ky. Mr. McLean was born July 19, 1930 in Benton, Illinois to the late Charles H. and Dorcas Foulon McLean. He was a member of Barnett's Lick Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a Butler County Sheriffs Deputy for 8 years. Mr. McLean is preceded in death by daughter Monica Buckles, 2 sons Monty Clemmons and Victor Lynn, and 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Osco Bratcher

Osco Lee Bratcher, 76 of Morgantown, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mr. Bratcher was born March 10, 1936 in Butler County, KY to the late Owen and Vena Beasley Bratcher. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Local 40 Boilermakers, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a self-employed businessman and farmer. Osco was an avid UK fan and loved his old cars. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mae Burden. Polly Payne

Polly Payne of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 in Bowling Green at Greenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

The Warren County native was a retired special education school teacher at Morgantown Elementary, and while in school was a member of the Beta Chi Sorority, a former coordinator for the St. Judes Children’s Hospital in Memphis; she was preceded in death by her Father Bernard Elmer Payne, two brothers, Joseph Elmer Payne, and Horace Eric Payne.
