Glenda J. (Jackie) Spence 78, of Owensboro, Kentucky died May 18, 2014 in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born November 9, 1935 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Nita and Jack Maxwell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William C. Spence, on April 19, 2013: a daughter Sandy Jean Roberts on August 2, 2010; her mother, Nita Mae Maxwell on September 25, 2002; her father Jack Maxwell on April 26, 1964; and a grandson, Jeremy Dean Clary on November 12, 1995.

Lola Mae Hope, 80, of  Owensboro, Ky. passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at the  Morgantown Care and Rehab Center, Morgantown, Ky. Ms. Hope was born November 30, 1933  in Butler County, Ky.  to the late Daniel Everett and Blissie Mae Rone Hope. She was a retired manager for Audubon area Head Start. Ms. Hope was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Bobby Nation and David Hope.
 

Linda "Marie" Scott, 58, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Morgantown, Ky. Marie was born February 3, 1956  in Jefferson County, Ky. She was a Homemaker.  She was preceded in death by 1 brother Eddie Dunford,  Stepdad: Leslie "Dick" Smith, 2 nephews: Jason Dunford and John Lowery, Companion of 27 years Lloyd Keown.
 

Jim "Jimmy" McDaniel Jr., 60, of  Lewisburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his residence. Jimmy was born November 17, 1953  in Jefferson County, Ky., to the late "Cowboy" James Larry McDaniel Sr. and Anna Josephine Alcorn McDaniel. He worked at Delta Faucet as a Mold Technician. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, hunting and most of all spoiling his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Billy and Robert McDaniel, 1 brother-in-law Rozie Henderson.
 

Michael W. Smith, 56, of  Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky.  Michael was born January 13, 1958   in Butler County, Ky. to the late Rex Smith and Janice Phelps. He worked at TVA as a laborer. He was a member of  the Local- Union 1392.  Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith.   He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Albert and Clemence Smith and Archie Phelps, one sister Melinda Phelps.
 

R.D. "Bumblebee" Cardwell, 76 of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 11,2014 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Facility in Leitchfield.  Bumblebee was born March 17, 1938 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late William Amos and Laura Coleman Cardwell. He was a retired tree trimmer and other than his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Gertrude West Cardwell  and several brothers and sisters.

Osby Martin, 88, of  Aberdeen passed away Sunday, May11, 2014 at Morgantown Care and Rehab.  Osby was born April 4, 1926  in Butler County  to the late  Wilbur and Altha Willis Martin and was husband of the late Helen Martin. He was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church and enjoyed discussing politics at Embry's Grocery and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter Sharon, and three brothers, Uldric, Adril, and Beckham Martin.
 

Barney Woosley, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (May 9, 2014) at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 13, 1930 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Allie “Hal” and Ida Minton Woosley.

He was a machinist with the Reynolds Metal Company, where he worked until his retirement, and enjoyed gardening, hunting, UK Basketball and spending time with family and friends. He was saved at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church in Grayson County at the age of 19, and was a member of the Short Creek United Missionary Baptist Church.

Lucille Allen Raymer age 92 of Mt.Washington, Kentucky, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Green Meadows Health Care in Mt.Washington. Lucille was born on July 8, 1921, in Butler Co. Kentucky to the late Levi and Eululia LaMastus Allen. She was a member of Mt.Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired dietitian for the V.A. hospital in Tucson, AZ. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry M. Raymer,  sister Evalene Parr and  brother Hugh Allen.

Charles Gorden Campbell, 81, of Caneyville, passed away Friday, May 9th, 2014 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
