Charles Hugh Whitaker Sr., 78, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the his residence  in Morgantown.  Charles was born June 27, 1936,  in Butler County, to the late Volentine and Mary Harper Whitaker.  He was a member of  Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist  Church.  He worked  as a gas station attendant for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Billy Whitaker, sister Hilda Kirby and Brother Kenneth Cartwright.
 
He  is survived by one son; Charles Hugh Whitaker, Jr. of Morgantown and one daughter; Cecilia Kesler of Morgantown. Six grandchildren; Hershel Lacefield of Bowling Green, Matthew Lacefield of Morgantown, Angel Whitaker of Morgantown, Jacob Whitaker of Morgantown, James Whitaker of Morgantown, and Cody Kesler of Morgantown.  Two sisters; Dillon Jordan of Indiana, Geneavive Kirby of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.
 
 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Anthony Dunn officiating . Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery . Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2014 from 2:30pm-9pm and Tuesday 8am until time of  Service at 2 pm at Smith Funeral Home.
