James E. Holleman

James E. Holleman, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday May 21, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Lafayette Tennessee native, son of the late Charlie and Edgie Ann Kemp Holleman. He was a member of Warren County Rescue Squad in the 60's and 70's  and retired truck driver and heavy equip operator.

Robert Elmer

Robert Allen Elmer, 50 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday May 8, 2012 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Merrillville Indiana native, son of the late Charles W. Elmer and Carmelita Gramelspacher Elmer who survives. Member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Our Lady of Consolation and St. Bede Catholic Church, computer tech. and aN avid animal lover.

Dorothy Givens

 Dorothy Givens, 83 of Morgantown passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Ms. Givens was born December 14, 1928 in Butler County to the late Luther Gidcumb and Laura Parks Gidcumb. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Walter Givens, three sisters Geneva Gidcumb, Ruby Carroll and Amy House Elder,  six brothers Raymond, Andy, Gus, William Reed, Ed and James Jimmy Gidcumb. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Carve Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Rhonda Lee Deweese

Rhonda Lee Deweese, age 45 of Morgantown Ky., passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, at 1:04 am at her residence. She was a Jefferson County native, daughter of William J. and Ruby Hall Woodcock. She was a faithful member of White Ridge Church where she served as the youth director and was a faithful servant to her Lord, an employee of Scotty's Construction in the traffic control division. Rhonda loved her family and loved children. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and was a avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and lived life to the fullest.

Morris Vincent

Morris "Joe" Vincent, 66 of Mammoth Cave, KY, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Bowling Green. He was a retired foreman with TVA, member of Cub Run Masonic Lodge #910 F & AM and a member of Ollie United Baptist Church.

The Edmonson County native was the son of the late Reubin and Chloie Wingfield Vincent.

He is survived by his wife Lois Lindsey Vincent of Mammoth Cave, KY; one daughter: Melissa Jo Vincent of Mammoth Cave, KY; one brother: Bennie E. Vincent (Nadine) of Cub Run, KY; one sister: Kalia M. Vincent of Mammoth Cave, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Linden Day

Linden C. Day, 84  of Morgantown passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab Center  in Morgantown. Mr. Day was  born August 8, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois  to the late Orville Day and Lola Daugherty Day. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lavena Flener Day, one daughter Mary Garner, son Jimmy Day, and  two brothers Leo and  Louis Day.   He was a graduate from Cromwell High School, and a WWII  Army-Air force Veteran who fought in Okinawa.

Madeline Leach James

Madeline Leach James, 92, of Cromwell, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Kentucky.  She was an Ohio County, Kentucky native, daughter of the late George and Golda Smith Leach, and wife of the late Henry H. "Hutt" James. Madeline Leach Jones was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two daughters:  Mary Beth James and Sue James Cook ;and one grandson, Phillip Cook.

Alma J. Corley

Alma J. Corley, 86 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Morgantown Care and Rehab.  The Butler County native was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.  She was the daughter of the late Elnora Corley and James H. Neighbors and the spouse of the late Roy Fishburn and Carl Corley. 

Survivors include: daughter Jeanette Davidson of Morgantown, son Morris Fishburn (Lisa) of Morgantown, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grand children, and 3 great-great-grand children, along with several nieces and nephews.

Stephen Robert Rubino

Stephen Robert Rubino, 62 passed from this life on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the  Morgantown Care & Rehab Center. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on July 7, 1949 to his parents Frank Michael Rubino (deceased) and Dorothy Madeline Beliles Rubino and graduated from Butler Co. High School.  Stephen was an Army Veteran from the Vietnam Era and was a member of the local VFW Post 5837.  He was head of Supplies at TVA and was a member of the Rochester Baptist Church.  Steve loved all sports, especially golfing and dancing.  Steve had a passion for life loved his grandchildren dearly.
