Lona Lindsey Martin

Lona Lindsey Martin, 98, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was born in Butler Co. on Sept. 21, 1918 to the late Cader and Della Colburn Lindsey.  She was a homemaker, member of Leonard Oak Baptist Church, loved quilting, sewing, cooking and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Rebus Martin and many brothers and sisters.

Ronnie Rufus Neace

Ronnie Rufus Neace, 37, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Perry, Co. Ky. on March 11, 1980.  He was a Construction worker and a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Ohio Co.  Ronnie loved fishing and gardening.  He was preceded in death by his mother Jewell Neace and sister Renee Neace.

Mallory Jo Franzell

Mallory Jo Franzell, 24 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 at her residence. Mallory was born on Monday May 4, 1992 in Bowing Green, Ky. to Joey F. Franzell and Michelle Lynn Brooks Franzell who survives. She was a member of Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Butler County High School graduate class of 2012 and employed at Life Skills Industries. Mallory always had a positive attitude with a strong soul and will. She never met a stranger and was loved by many. She is preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather Howard Pendley.

James Loyd Nole

James Loyd Nole, 71, of  Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on September 4, 1945 to the late Karl and Naomi Borah Nole.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Boyd Nole.

Mr. Nole is survived by his sister Karlene Akin of Morgantown; nephew Jerry Akin of Sarasota, Fl.; three nieces Gaye Akin of Morgantown, Karen Nelson and Cherie Cox both of Jacksonville, Fl.

Cory O'Neil Cardwell

Cory O'Neil Cardwell, 29, of  Franklin, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the UK Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, Ky.  He was born in Warren Co, Ky. on November  24, 1987 to Tony O'Neil and Bonnie "Jackie" Cardwell.  He worked at Standafer and Sons Co., loved playing disc golf ,basketball and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics.  He was preceded in death by his brother Steven Cardwell, grandparents James and Louise LeGrand, Otis Jr. and Virginia Cardwell.

Roland Eugene Baxter

Roland Eugene Baxter, 60, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away at 5:45AM Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his home.

Roland was a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America Local #1214 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Michele Evans Baxter of Gilbertsville, KY; two daughters, April Dawn Baxter and Wendy Michele Baxter both of Benton, KY; three brothers, Ross Baxter of Morgantown, KY, Roy Baxter of Bowling Green, KY, and Ronnie Baxter of Owensboro, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Wallace M. McCoy

Wallace "Red" McCoy, 81, of  Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 23, 1935, to the late Willard B. and Pearl Mason McCoy.  He was a supervisor at LF Strassheim for several years, a member of Union Missionary Baptists Church, enjoyed yard selling, collecting Chevy S-10 trucks and going to Hardee's in the mornings.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elwanda McCoy; brother Mayburn McCoy; sisters Anna Ruth Hall and Esma Henderson.

Sue Embry Hall

Sue Embry Hall, 78, of  Yuma, Az., formerly of Morgantown, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, AZ.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 6, 1938 to the late Newt and Ethel Embry.  She was a member of Peace Chapel Church and was a  Cafeteria worker for the Louisville Kentucky Board of Education.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom Hall; daughter Charlotte Hall; sister Drusilla Woosley; brothers Duvall and Buren Embry.

Barbara Jean Daugherty, 77 of Cromwell, KY peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday morning. April 11, 2017, at the Clark County Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a Charlestown, IN native but lived in Cromwell, Kentucky for 50 plus years and daughter of the late Thomas & Zelma Anderson. She was a member of Green River Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Philip R.

Imogene Ferguson Maxfield

Imogene Ferguson Maxfield, 77 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born February 27, 1940, in Grayson County Kentucky to the late Thomas Woodrow and Jennie Whitehead Ferguson and wife of the late James Robert "Bob" Maxfield. Imogene was a member of Rochester Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two daughters Janice Lynn Maxfield and Dottie Maxfield.
