Elizabeth A. "Bettye" Simpson Brown

Elizabeth A. "Bettye" Simpson Brown, 85, of  Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Magnolia Village in Bowling Green.  She was born in Evansville, In. on Aug. 6, 1931 to the late Archie Simpson and Blanche Heichelbeck Simpson.  She was a wife and mother. Was of the Methodist faith and loved to play word circle.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother; Bernard Simpson.

James Dockery

James Dockery, 73 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday May 8, 2017 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. James was born August 16, 1943 in Harned, Kentucky to the late Hurley and Waldean French Dockery.
James Dockery is survived by two sisters; one brother and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Warren Jackson Blaine, 81, of  Dunmor, Ky., passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on September 4, 1935 to the late Victor and Alma Staples Blaine.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, construction worker and a member of St. Moriah Church of Christ.   He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Kenneth Blaine and one sister Augusta Carilse.

James Darrell "Buddy" Arnold

James Darrell "Buddy" Arnold, 79, of Bremen, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at 9:06AM at Transcendent Healthcare. Buddy was born July 11, 1937, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and spent many years working at the sawmill. Buddy loved to work and enjoyed all his co-workers. He loved fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a member of Church Street General Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a trustee. He spent much of his time reading and studying the Bible. He graduated from Drakesboro High School in 1956. He was also a U.S.

Kenneth Lee Daugherty, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his residence. Kenneth was born February 12, 1940, in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Jesse and Leona Morris Daugherty. He attended Barnett's Lick Baptist Church and was a retired local businessman.

Kelly Dale Franklin

Kelly Dale Franklin, 73 of Provo, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his residence. Dale was born August 17, 1943, in Provo, Kentucky to the late William "Bill" and Eliene Holman Franklin. He was a member Monticello Missionary Baptist Church, Butler County High School graduate, attended the University of Louisville and worked at International Harvester and Kellwood before starting his own business Dame Manufacturing. Co-founder of Provo fish club, which held fish fries and fireworks yearly for the community, friends, and family for 15years.

Ruby W. Johnson

Ruby W. Johnson, 87, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. in Bowling Green.  She was born in Butler Co. on June 4, 1929 to the late Ercel Warren and Eva Miller Warren.  She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ for more than 80 years.  Ruby loved to quilt and make crafts.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis Clay Johnson, 2 brothers; Hayward & Glendon Warren, 2 sisters; Ruth and Reva Warren.

William Logan Hunt

William Logan Hunt ("WL" as many knew him), 94, of Morgantown, KY. passed away in the loving presence of his son and daughter Thursday April 27, 2017 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Logan was born December 13, 1922 to Charles Denton and Mary Elizabeth Meadows Hunt. After the Brooklyn, Kentucky schoolboy valiantly served his country on the European Front in D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge as an Army sergeant in War II--awarded the Purple Heart for wounds incurred during the latter-- Logan returned to his family's home in the "holler" in Monford of Butler County.

Raymond Eugene Howard, 74, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday April 27, 2017 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Eugene was born August 21, 1942 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Raymond Charles and Helen Phelps Howard. He was a retired truck driver and farmer.
