Wallace M. McCoy

Wallace "Red" McCoy, 81, of  Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 23, 1935, to the late Willard B. and Pearl Mason McCoy.  He was a supervisor at LF Strassheim for several years, a member of Union Missionary Baptists Church, enjoyed yard selling, collecting Chevy S-10 trucks and going to Hardee's in the mornings.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elwanda McCoy; brother Mayburn McCoy; sisters Anna Ruth Hall and Esma Henderson.

Mr. McCoy is survived by nephews:  Eddie McCoy (Gaye) of Bowling Green, Wade McCoy of Louisville, Norman Henderson (Sharon), Troy Henderson (Della), Reggie Vaught, Terry Mayhugh (Shelia) and Steve Mayhugh (Penny) all of Morgantown; nieces:  Sandy Embry (Terry) of Morgantown, Jerry White (JC) of Elizabethtown,  Syble Leach (Howard) of Hendersonville, Tn., Karen Smith (Darrell) of Carlton, Ga. and Debbie Mingus (Ed) of Bowling Green;  sister in-law Elvera McCoy of Louisville; several great nieces and nephews; devoted friend Larry Thomas.
 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 1 pm with Bro. Murl Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April, 21 from 3-8pm and Saturday, 9 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
