Cory O'Neil Cardwell, 29, of Franklin, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the UK Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. He was born in Warren Co, Ky. on November 24, 1987 to Tony O'Neil and Bonnie "Jackie" Cardwell. He worked at Standafer and Sons Co., loved playing disc golf ,basketball and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics. He was preceded in death by his brother Steven Cardwell, grandparents James and Louise LeGrand, Otis Jr. and Virginia Cardwell.

Cory is survived by his wife Brittany Cardwell of Franklin, Ky., son Jackson O'Neil Cardwell of Franklin, Ky., step-son Kaleb Riddle of Franklin, Ky.; parents Bonnie "Jackie" and Tony O'Neil Cardwell both of Morgantown; girlfriend Silvia Faulkner of Franklin, Ky.; two brothers James Cardwell and wife Jennifer of Morgantown, Louis Cardwell of Morgantown; one sister Tiffany McCoy of Bowling Green; step- grandmother Kathy Cardwell of Bowling Green; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Terry Kean officiating. Burial will follow in the Youngtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 1:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
