Darrel C. McKinney

Darrel C. McKinney, 83 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. He was born April 5, 1934, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Howard Echolis "Eck" and Jewel Beatrice Cannon McKinney and husband of the late Betty Jo Bratcher McKinney. Darrel was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church, a United States Navy Veteran and he retired from Desa. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by two brothers Robert Joel McKinney and Anthony Allen "Tony" McKinney.

Janis Pendley Stuart

Janis Pendley Stuart, 80, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her residence.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Nov. 30, 1936 to the late Dotson and Mary Lee Pendley.  Janis was a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church, served as Deputy Court Clerk for Short White, worked at Morgantown Deposit Bank, Morgantown Elementary, Kellwood and sang and played piano on the radio.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Royce Pendley and great granddaughter Regan Lee Meredith.

Herb Ferguson

Herb Ferguson, 58, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 in Louisville. 

He was born on Monday, March 23rd, 1959 in Louisville, the son of the late Durman and Wanda (Carr) Ferguson. Herb was a farmer and enjoyed to fish, hunt, go camping and loved his cows.

Betty R. Hagan

Betty R. Hagan, 79 of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at her residence. She was born February 13, 1938, in Cromwell, Kentucky to the late John Rowe and Asberrie Hampton Deweese. Betty was a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church, and she enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, sewing, crocheting and her dogs. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter Pamela Lane Dame, one brother Lindol Wade Deweese and four sisters Treva Hanninger, Maxine Givens, Virginia Bratcher and Berniece Deweese.

Robert F. Lee

 Robert F. Lee, 67, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at his residence.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky on August 5, 1949, to the late Louis W. Lee and Topsy Holman Lee Tuck.  He graduated from Butler County High School in 1967, was a US Army Veteran and a retired Coal Miner. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Provo Fish Club.  He loved UK basketball, his beagles, and beekeeping. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Roddy Lee and twin brother Jimmy Lee

Lonnie Swift

Lonnie Swift, 89, of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home. 

He was born on Monday, December 5th, 1927 in Butler County, the son of the late William McKinley and Myrtle (Ingram) Swift. Lonnie was a member of the Caneyville Church of Christ and was an elder in the church. He owned and operated several local businesses, was the Sherriff for four years and served in the United States Army during World War II.

Clora Mae Cannon

Clora Mae Cannon, 92, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at  Morgantown Care and Rehab Center, Morgantown, Ky. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 24, 1924 to the late Pal and Serennia Elms Shepherd.  Clora was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She loved dogs, cats and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Oval House and George Cannon, son Larry House, three sisters and one brother.

Kenneth Ray McKinney

Kenneth Ray McKinney, 67, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky. on March 3, 1950 to the late Reggie and Dorothy Evans McKinney.  Kenneth enjoyed watching westerns and cartoons.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. McKinney is survived by one brother James Evans (Peggy) of Morgantown; one sister Edna Wester (Carlie) of Owensboro, Ky.

Randall D. Bratcher Sr., 65 of Roundhill, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at his residence. He was born January 14, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late George and Margie Embry Bratcher. Randall was a United States Army Veteran. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two Diane Bratcher Cardwell and Olie Mae Bratcher and four brothers G. W. II, James W., David and Johnny Bratcher.

 Virginia Mae Burgess, 96, of Cromwell, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Signature Healthcare in Hartford, Kentucky. She was born February 6, 1921 in Rockport, Kentucky to the late Walter and Sylvia White Wilson. Virginia was a member of Green River Baptist Church in Cromwell and was a homemaker.
