James Floyd Johnson

James Floyd Johnson, 76, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Provo, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on January 13, 1941 to the late James and Zona Kessinger Johnson.  Mr. Johnson was a member of the Flatwood Church of Christ.  He was a farmer and enjoyed watching T.V.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Waitress Embry, Cletus , Recil and Esley Johnson and one sister Ethelene (Johnson) Cardwell.

Marie Renfrow Cardwell

Marie Renfrow Cardwell, 100 of Sikeston Missouri formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Miner Nursing Center in Sikeston Missouri. Marie was born May 6, 1917 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Richard N. and Erba Snodgrass Renfrow and wife of the late Clarence Cardwell. She was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church in Barlow, Ky. and she was a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Charles R. Cardwell and two brothers Elvis and Obie D. Renfrow.

Theldred "Dale" White

Theldred "Dale" White, 67, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence.  He was born in Gilstrap, Ky., on August 22, 1949, to the late Leamon and Alline Baize White.  He was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, was a retired counselor at the Green River Boys Camp, a preacher, and a barber.  Dale enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, watching basketball and NASCAR.  He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Cody Smith; siblings Eudena Cook, Gwydline Hoover, Clifford White, James White and Kenneth Parks.

Opal C. Burden

Opal C. Burden,90 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 20, 1926, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Mishie Bratcher Burden and husband of the late Anna Rose Jackson Burden.  Opal loved everyone and was a soft-hearted man. He enjoyed life, coon hunting, coaching little league baseball and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. Last year he celebrated his 90th birthday with a trip to Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs play. In October we cheered his Cubbies on to win the World Series.

Luwana Mae Taylor

CENTRAL CITY - Luwana Mae Taylor, 85, of Central City, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 1:45AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital Long Term Care after a lengthy illness. Born July 26, 1931, in Muhlenberg County, she was the daughter of the late Herschel O. and Lucille Noffsinger. She was a member of the Cleaton Baptist Church, a homemaker, and retiree from the Muhlenberg County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herbert (H.D.) Taylor; her brother, Oliver (Sonny) Noffsinger; and one granddaughter, Tiffany Taylor Pullum.

Jasper Charlie "JC" Lindsey

Jasper Charlie "JC" Lindsey, 81 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. JC was born January 26, 1936, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Homer Lindsey and Eva Earline Johnson Renfrow. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired crane operator. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Ernest and James Lindsey; one sister in law Dorothy Lindsey; one-half brother Randell Renfrow and one great-grandson Marcus Barks.

Geraldine "Gerry" Radovich

Geraldine "Gerry" Radovich, 91, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday June 12, 2017 at her residence. Gerry was born February 14, 1926 in Moline, Illinois to the late George "Buck" and Margaret Hyde Sarginson and she was the wife of the late Dr. Mirko Radovich. Gerry worked hard in high school to put herself through college in Jackson, Illinois.

Loyce Mayhugh McCoy

Loyce Mayhugh McCoy, 85 of Newburgh, Indiana passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Transcendent Health Care South in Boonville, Indiana. Loyce was born June 12, 1931, in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Friday and Florence Porter Mayhugh. She retired from Holderfield Battery Company as office manager after 28 years. She was a very active and founding member of Gateway Baptist Church in Newburgh, Indiana where she sang in the choir for 40 years.

Thaddeus Ryan Franklin

Thaddeus Ryan Franklin age 38 of Bowling Green, KY died Wednesday May 30, 2017 at the Signature Health Care Facility in Bowling Green KY.  He was born August 29, 1978 in Lubbock Texas a son of Felix Franklin and Rita Drake Franklin. He adored his children and he was a caring and helpful friend to many.  Thaddeus was preceded in death by his father; Felix Franklin on December 10, 2000 and his grandparents.

Berthlene Flener

Berthlene Lindsey Flener, 85, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 6 , 2017 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on  Dec. 1, 1931 to the late Leburn and Nola Lindsey.  She was a member of Sugar Grove Methodist Church, volunteered at the Morgantown Mission, loved flowers and working in her garden.    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Byron Flener, siblings Joyce Sue Phelps, Charles B. Lindsey and Mae Lou Flener.
