Loyce Mayhugh McCoy, 85 of Newburgh, Indiana passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Transcendent Health Care South in Boonville, Indiana. Loyce was born June 12, 1931, in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Friday and Florence Porter Mayhugh. She retired from Holderfield Battery Company as office manager after 28 years. She was a very active and founding member of Gateway Baptist Church in Newburgh, Indiana where she sang in the choir for 40 years. She enjoyed serving the Lord, quilting (winning many blue ribbons) her vacations out West with long time friends Sonny and Shirley Ashby; also her weekly trips to Captain D's with good friends Bob and Arline Groves. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her only child Benny McCoy, sisters Jewell McCoy,  Leatrice Givens, Eva Mae Askew, Nada Proctor, Freda Pascal, and Ovie Mayhugh; one brother Herman Mayhugh.

Loyce Mayhugh McCoy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Desper "Mac" McCoy of Newburgh, Indiana; one brother Charles Mayhugh (Edith) of Morgantown, Ky.; two granddaughters Jennifer Jo McCoy (JT) of Nashville Tennessee and Kelsey Hart-McCoy of Evansville, Indiana; daughter in law Liz McCoy of Evansville, Indiana; two sister in law Carolyn Porter of Morgantown, Ky. and Louise Mayhugh of Smiths Grove, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 12:00 pm with Bro. Don Rogers officiating.
Burial will be held in the Union Cemetery.
