Berthlene Lindsey Flener, 85, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 6 , 2017 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on  Dec. 1, 1931 to the late Leburn and Nola Lindsey.  She was a member of Sugar Grove Methodist Church, volunteered at the Morgantown Mission, loved flowers and working in her garden.    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Byron Flener, siblings Joyce Sue Phelps, Charles B. Lindsey and Mae Lou Flener. 

Ms. Flener is survived by daughter Donna Gayle Flener of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Joshua Porter and Elizabeth of Morgantown, Lindsey Young and Chad of Bowling Green, Casey Byrd and Jason of Morgantown and Dalton Burden of Morgantown; one great-grandchild Evelyn Porter of Morgantown; three sisters Kathlene Childress of Louisville, Ky., Maxine West of Shepherdsville, Ky., Judy Clark of Bowling Green; one brother Carlton Lindsey of Illinois; special companion of over 10 years, Jut Jenkins of Morgantown. 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Josh Scott officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Morgan- Smith Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 11-8 pm and Friday from 8 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Morgantown Mission.
