Anita Gary Mills, 89, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was a native of Butler County, KY, was a graduate of Morgantown High School and attended the former St. Helena’s Business College in Louisville.  Anita was retired from South Central Bell with 38 plus years of service.  She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church for over fifty years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.  Anita was a former volunteer with the American Red Cross and Christian Social Ministries Office at her church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Margaret Jones Gary; son Dennis; and two siblings, William Gary and Leah Warner.

She is survived by her son Michael W. Mills; daughter-in-law Carol Mills and a sister, Nancy Swift (Charles).

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.  The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial at the Chapel Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler County.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Christian Social Ministries Office at Walnut Street Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be left at www.ratterman.com.
