She epitomizes the Proverbs 31; woman of noble character from making her children's clothes, to "opening her arms to the poor," having a husband that was well respected, being rarely idle, and she literally "bought a field" (40 acres) while her husband served in WWII. Her children can certainly call her blessed. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30.

Like so many from her generation she was a women of quiet strength. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to Oakland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 154, Oakland, KY 42159.
