Charles Cameron Childress

Charles Cameron Childress, 66, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 15, 1952 to the late Garland and Dora Niccum Childress.  Cameron was in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam Era and loved to farm. Cameron was a member of Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Everett, William “Lester” and Raymond Childress.

Bobby Eugene Cannon

Bobby Eugene Cannon, 73, of Louisville, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Feb. 10, 1947 to the late George Edward Cannon and Donnie Louise Williams Ammons. He was a truck driver, enjoyed fishing, collecting knives and watches. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and brother Danny Cannon.

David Lee Daugherty

David Lee Daugherty, 70 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his residence. David was born May 30, 1948 in Hartford, Kentucky to the late G W and Mary Cook Daugherty. He was the retired pastor and  member of Pathway Missionary Baptist Church, past counselor for Family Services and chaplain for the 5th District Fire Department for many years. David was a carpenter, farmer, avid fisherman and he sponsored a Facebook page posting Bible studies and sermons daily. Other than his others he was preceded in death by one brother Charles William Daugherty.

Mr. Donnie Sublett, 46, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 18, 2019. Donnie was born August 22, 1972 in Morgantown, KY to Eddie and Bernice Sublett, who survive. Donnie was a Lineman and a member of IBEW Local 71. He attended Rush Branch Church. Donnie was preceded in death by his grandparents Bernard Sublett, Marcella Berry, Jesse White, and Myrtle White; Special aunt and uncle Violet and Rex Godey; and his mother in law Athelene Williamson Robertson.

Joyce Ilene Porter

Joyce Ilene Porter, 88 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Chandler Park Assisted Living in Bowling Green, KY. Joyce was born May 29, 1930 in Butler County, KY to the late Willie Hershel and Glennie Thurlo Embry Flener. She attended Belmont General Baptist Church, enjoyed spending time with family, friends and watching UK Basketball. Joyce worked various jobs over the years including Kanes, Kellwood, Morgantown Feed Mill for the Ingram Family and retired as the Property Valuation Administrator after holding the elected office for 12 years.

Judith Anne Wood

Judith Anne Wood, 67, of Athens, Tn. passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Star Regional Hospital in Athens. She was born in Warren Co., Ky. on  January 18, 1952 to the late Granville and  Hazel Wood Haynes.  Judith retired from her nursing career after 25 years. She was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church in Russellville and a member of the Eastern Star.  Judith was a Louisville Cardinals basketball fan, she enjoyed crocheting, the Kentucky Derby, ice cream, John Deere, making cards, writing letters to friends and family.

Judy Lue Oller Higgs

Judy Lue Oller Higgs  age 64 of Franklin Ky., passed away Friday, February 15,2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green Ky. Judy was born on January 6,1955 in Butler County Ky., to the late Jessie and Eulia Johnson Oller. She was a retired factory worker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Other than her parents Judy is preceded in death by one sister Ruth Grider and one brother James Stanley Oller.

Mary Smith Baxter

Mary Smith Baxter, 65, of Rochester, Ky. entered her Lord’s rest joyfully on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  She was born to the late Lenn James "Little Doc" and Charlotte Mae Moore Smith.  Mary lived a life of service to others as a hospice nurse and caretaker for all.  She attended Rochester United Methodist Church.
