James Steve Garner

James Steve Garner, 54, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky. on March 26, 1965 to the late James Garner and Christine Martin (living).  Steve was a handyman that took care of many people.  Steve was preceded in death by his father.

Ronald Gene Weathers

Ronald Gene Weathers, 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green.  He was born in Detroit, MI. on Feb. 28, 1936 to the late Houston and Viola Flener Weathers.  Ronald was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, retired from TVA and was a farmer.  He was in the United States Army where he served during the Korean War.  He was also an avid UK fan.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carl E. “C.J.” Hubbard Jr., 28, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1991 in Taylorville, Illinois to Carl E. Hubbard, Sr. and Vickie Filback Tindle. C.J. loved life, his family, and Jesus.

Roger Leon Phelps "Burt"

Roger Leon Phelps “Burt”, 66, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 10, 1953 to the late Ethelburt and Oma Mae Barks Phelps.  Burt was a member and deacon of  Brooklyn Baptist Church, he also attended the Jetson Community Church.  Burt, a lifelong musician, was the lead guitar and vocalist in the Kentucky Sound Old Time Gospel for seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

James Corey Rogers, 39, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away in Beaver Dam. He was born December 19, 1979 in Owensboro to James Darryl Rogers and the late Katherine Butler Rogers. He enjoyed fishing and camping and considered himself a grill master.

Ruhie Mildred Whitaker Flener

Ruhie Mildred Whitaker Flener, 102 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Ruhie was born November 6, 1916 in Butler County, KY to the late William and Osia Flener Whitaker and wife of the late Justus Marshall Flener. She was a member of Morgantown Methodist Church, worked at Kanes Industry for 7 years and was cook at 5th District Elementary School for several years. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Huey Flener and one sister Lillian Cardwell.

Charlotte Faye Carpenter

Charlotte Faye Carpenter, 68, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 16, 1950 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late George Warden House, Sr. and Erma Lee Smith House. Ms. Carpenter retired from Thomaston Mills and had worked for Volunteer Services with Owensboro Hospital and was a caregiver for Lifeline.

Joy D. Cardwell

 Joy D. Cardwell, 77 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday March 25, 2019 at his residence. Joy was born March 11, 1942 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Cleat and Goldie Johnson Cardwell. He was a member of Renfrow Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, retired owner and operator of C & C drywall for 50 years and retired preacher of 35 years. Joy loved everybody and always looked for the good in everyone.

Lois June Abbott, 78 of Evansville, Indiana passed away Thursday March 21, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Lois was born June 7, 1940 in Pence, Indiana to the late Lindell and Reva Abbott Keown and wife of the late James C. Abbott. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and retired Certified Nursing Assistant. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one sister Stelsa Raymer.
