Rev. Wendell Romans

Beaver Dam- Rev. Wendell  Romans, 90, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, at Signature Health Care in Hartford.  He was born in Butler County,KY son of the late W.U. and Jessie Gidcumb Romans. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge inMorgantown.  He formerly served as Director of Home Mission Board, Director of Kentucky Sunrise Home For Children and Trustee of Campbellsville University.  He was former pastor of Guptons Grove, Dunmor, Salem, Mt. Washington, Boones Creek, Mt. Vernon First Baptist, Fountain Run and Beech Grove Baptist Churches.

Irene Priddy Brown

Irene Priddy Brown, age 80, of Drakesboro departed this life on Friday, January 18, 2019 at her residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on November 30, 1938 to the late Howard and Lillie Meredith Thompson.   She was married to Oren Priddy and  later to  James Ralph Brown, whom both preceded her in death.

Hoyt Wayne Martin, 67, of Owensboro, died on Friday, January 18, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  He was born February 20, 1951 in Butler County, KY  to the late Earl Uldric Martin and Delphia House Clark.  He was retired from Swedish Match after 33 years as a maintenance supervisor and was a U.S.

Timothy Wayne "Timmy" Martin

Timothy Wayne "Timmy" Martin, 35, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on Nov. 10, 1983.  He was a member of Big Muddy Missionary Baptist Church.  Timmy enjoyed singing, listening to music, traveling, meeting new people, visiting with everyone he knew and didn't know.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gladys and Ezra Martin and Archie and Beatrice Neighbors.

Thelma I. Parsons Compton, 77 of Woodbury, KY passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Thelma was born August 11, 1941 in Dekalb, West Virginia to the late Russell and Betty Parsons Snyder and wife of the late Frank R. Compton. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church, she worked at the Sandwich Shop on Main Street for many years and she enjoyed cooking, her flowers, crossword puzzles and spending time with family. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one daughter Veronica Martin.

Steve Ezra Lacefield, 84, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Steve was born February 7, 1934 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Eugene Sr. and Lattie Francis Embry Lacefield. He was a 54-year member of Banock Masonic Lodge #824 and a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows. A special thank you to Morgantown Care & Rehab for all your kindness and love you showed Steve during the 6 years he made Morgantown Care & Rehab his home.

Charles Jr. Geary

Charles Jr. Geary, 84 of Morgantown, KY walked through the gates of heaven on January 13, 2019 at his youngest son residence. Charles was born April 22, 1934 in Rockport, Kentucky to the late Ervin and Gracie Smith Geary. He was retired from Southwire and was a avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and collecting rocks. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers Kermit, Russel and Reathel Geary; three sisters Venia Karnes, Macel Kirtley and Verdia Geary and four grandsons Randy Geary Jr., Wesley Snyder, Adam and Cody Geary.

Wilmar “Otto” Kelley, 84 of Horse Branch passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on May 23, 1934 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Wied and Lorene Hayse Kelley.  He worked at Cissels Manufacturing in Louisville and was a member of the Fox Hunters Club.
