Butler Co. Middle School Boys' Basketball

Anticipation was high as middle school boys basketball fired back up on Tuesday night after Christmas break as the 7th grade team faced off against Muhlenberg North on the first day back to school.  The Bears had traveled to North earlier in the year and was served their only loss for the season thus far.  With this being a district match up, the Bears needed to win by 8 points to sew up the number one seed in the GRVC tournament at the end of the season.   Apparently the boys knew exactly what they needed to do and they wasted no time getting it done.  Rex Henderson put on a shooting clini

Lady Bears Fall to Clinton County

Katie Graham named to All-Tournament Team.

The Butler County Lady Bears wrapped up play in the Greenwood Gator Classic on Friday evening when they took on the Lady Dawgs of Clinton County High School. The Lady Bears opened play on Tuesday with a win in pool play versus Warren East High School, but things had gone sour for BCHS since that win. Two straight losses to Franklin-Simpson and Caverna left the Lady Bears needing a win on Friday to break even in the tourney. Unfortunately a slow scoring first half doomed their hopes and they fell to the Lady Dawgs by a final score of 46-38.
