Thomas E. Salmon

Thomas E. Salmon, 76, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 19th, 1936 in Grayson County, the son of the late Fonzy and Maggie (McClellan) Salmon. He was a self-employed flooring installer and also an avid hunter. Thomas loved classic hot rods. He was a member of the Yeaman Church of Christ.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Salmon; 2 sons, Thomas (Kristy) of Beaver Dam and William of Pleasant Ridge; 6 daughters, Peggy Embry (Vernon) of Caneyville, Carolyn Lynn (Randy) of Owensboro, Cathy Duvall (Ricky) of Fordsville, Sherry Saunders (James) of Indianapolis, Michelle Decker of Glasgow and Judy Berrier of Terra Haute; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Granvil (Dena) of Leitchfield; and 3 sisters, Hazel Shrader of Hartford, Mary Erberle of Louisville and Eva Foreman of Caneyville. Other than his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his son Mark and daughter Mary Salmon; 2 brothers, Buck and Lessie and 5 sisters, Emma Ward, Florie Reeson, Wilma Embry, Aline Young and Lizzie Foreman.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. James Hogan will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday after 10 a.m. until time of service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hosparus of Ohio County.
