Morgan Bentley "Bo" Phelps II, 18 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday January 9, 2014 at his residence. Bo was born February 10, 1995 in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County High School graduate class of 2013 and attended South Central Ky. Community & Technical College. Preceded in death by 2 uncles Andrew and Anthony Phelps; aunt Mona Jones and maternal grandfather Hugh Hocker Sr. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Autism Speaks  1060 State Rd. 2nd Fl Princeton NJ 08540 or American Red Cross 430 Center Street Bowling Green, Ky. 42101.

Edna Ruth Brown, 86 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown. Mrs. Brown was born May 20, 1927 in Butler County, to the late Relious and Ollie Jones Ragland Brown.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and worked as a salesclerk for many years of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lonnie Clifton Brown, one brother Sanford Brown two sisters Irene Webster and Maudra Givens.

James Elbert Baker

James Elbert Baker, 68 of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Mr. Baker was born February 6, 1945 in Butler County, to the late Dempsey and Lena Lee Baker.  He was a Army Veteran and a Salesman.  He was preceded in death by parents and his brothers Dale, Glen, Dempsey Lee and David Baker.

Lottie King Rojas

Lottie King Rojas ,49 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Lottie was born October 31, 1964 in Warren County, to the late John C. and Martha May Miller King. She loved to garden, farm and cook. Most of all she loved her family and  relaxing by her beautiful fish tank.   She was preceded in death by one brother Jerry King and a sister Gracie Berry.

Isaac R. “Ike” Snodgrass, 64 of Woodburn, died Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green after a brief battle with Leukemia.  He is the son of the late Theodore R. Snodgrass, and Dimple Snodgrass Neighbors.

Barbara Lawson Porter

Barbara Lawson Porter, 54 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Monday, January 6, 2014, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was born Sunday, November 22, 1959 in Marion, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Joe Leonard Lawson and Irene Roach Smith (James R.), who survives. She was the wife of Phillip Porter, who also survives.

She was a homemaker and attended Quality Baptist Church.

Surviving are son, Tyler Porter of Lewisburg, KY, sisters, Ruth Lawson Bland (Stewart) of Trenton, KY and Jenny Lawson Morris (T.T.) of Clarksville, TN.

Marie Johnson Rager

Marie Johnson Rager, 57, of  Dunmor, Kentucky, passed away at the Medical Center in Bowling Green on Saturday, January 4, 2014.   Ms. Rager was born Sept. 30, 1955  in Warren County to the late Leslie and Willie Mae Johnson.  Marie was a member of Huntsville Baptist Church and was a homemaker.Ms. Rager was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elwanda Johnson.

Emma Allen, 80 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Emma was born February 14, 1933 in Ohio to the late Solomon and Melinda Miller Miller. She attended Sugar Grove Methodist Church and retired nurses aid. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Angela Moore; two brothers Aden and Wyman Miller and two sisters Ella Mae Butts and Mary Hershberger.

JC Lindsey

JC Lindsey, 75 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown. Mr. Lindsey was born September 18, 1938 in the White Ridge Community in Butler County, to the late Huey and Detsel Cockriel Lindsey. He retired from truck driving after many years, was a ferry operator, and road crew worker for Butler County Fiscal Court.  He was preceded in death by his wife Valda Jean Howard Lindsey; three sisters; Elsiemae Lindsey, Anita Rae Beasley and Naoma Sue L. Skillern; two brothers W.L. Lindsey and Stanley Earl Lindsey.
