Juanita Rogers, 83, of Hartford, passed away, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born October 15, 1930 in Oil Springs, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Ollie Hall Oaks. She was a member of Longview General Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Rogers, her daughter, Norma Jean Rogers and two sons, James Rogers and Timothy Rogers, and one granddaughter, Carey Rice.

Francis Graham Black, 92 of Morgantown, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home.  Graham was born December 28, 1921 in Lake Park, Georgia to the late James Benjamin and Nell Dennis Black.

Graham served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Following his wartime service, he worked in the sheet metal trade.  Graham was a long-time Elder at the Dean Road Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida.

Glindell Tarrence, age74, of Caneyville passed away Saturday, March 1st , 2014 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. 

He was born on June 17th, 1939 in Grayson County, the son of the late James Lukis and Mary Lee (Mollyhorn) Tarrance. He was retired from the Timber Industry.  

Connie Sue Reynolds, 66 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her residence. Connie was born January 2, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William Carmen Duvall and Anna Mae Noffsinger Duval and wife of the late Wilbert Reynolds. She was a retired nurses aid at Morgantown Care and Rehab. She is preceded in death by two sisters Margaret Coghill and Linda Boggess and one brother Carmen Duvall Jr.

Royce Dale Embry, 64 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Royce was born February 4, 1950 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Thurman Tolbert Embry and Marie Porter Embry Crump who survives. He was a member of Morgantown Community Church, Cassia Masonic Lodge #272, a retired carpenter and coal miner. He is preceded in death by his sister Sharon McCoy and father in-law W.T. Belcher.

Viva Jean Hunt, 73, of Morgantown, Ky.  passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  Ms. Hunt was born March 15, 1940 in Butler County, to the late Ellis and Velma Tarrence Phelps.  She worked at Kellwood as a seamstress.  She also enjoyed raising a garden and canning, shopping at flea markets, fishing and being with her grandchildren.  She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Connie Hunt, parents, two infant brothers Buddy and Oral and one sister Adaline Johnson.
 

Ernest Otto Wuerz, 80 of Melbourne, Fl. passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Veira Hospital in Melbourne, Fl. Mr. Wuerz was born October 2, 1933 in Munich, Germany to the late Franz Xavier and Maria Peter Wuerz.  He was  retired from civil service and was a 100% disabled Army and Air force Veteran. He will be greatly missed  by his beloved family.
 

Elverda Wilson, age 90, formally of Caneyville passed away Sunday, February 16th, 2014 at the Kindred Wedgewood facilities in Clarksville, IN. 

She was born on September 29th, 1923 in Ohio County, the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Sorrels) Bates. Elverda was a housewife and a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church.  

Patricia Ann Bir Miller, 70 of Louisville, Ky. passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Miller was born February 21, 1943 in Jefferson County, to the late Eugene Thomas and Virginia Frasher Bir.  She was a Homemaker and a  member of  Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents,  husband Charles Thomas Miller, brother Tommy Bir and son Allen Miller.

Linda Erline Pruitt, 64, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at  NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN. Mrs. Pruitt was born November 10, 1949 in Butler County, to the late William Edgar and Mary Jane Harlan Goodwin.  Mrs. Pruitt worked at Kane's Sewing Factory for 22 yrs.  She loved sewing, cooking, reading and taking care of her two precious Jack Russell puppies.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Richard Goodwin.
