Mary Lou Minton Yates

Mary Lou Minton Yates, 75 of McHenry, departed this life for her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. She was born March 17, 1940 in Butler County to the late William Eli and Wavie Casey Maddox. She was of the Christian Faith and retired from Perdue Farms. She was the matriarch of her family and the thread that held them all together.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ray Minton, five brothers, J.B. Maddox, Leonard Maddox, Tommy Maddox, Wendell Maddox and Chestyne Maddox and one sister, Dorothy Maddox.

She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing five children, David W. (Melanie) Minton of Tennessee, Dennis L. Minton of McHenry, Debra A. (Johnnie) Keener of Livermore, Donna R. (Scott) Baize of Beaver Dam, Destiny S. Minton of New Albany, IN, one brother, Roger (Kathy) Maddox of Beaver Dam, two sisters, Freda (Donnie) Brown of Hardinsburg and Patsy (Norman) Wallace of Beaver Dam, ten grandchildren, Bowin Tichenor, Derek Bailey, Marianne Minton, Kasee Baize, Dustin Raley, Cody Minton, Colton Minton, Tesa Baize and Jordan Keener, seventeen great-grandchildren and her caregivers, granddaughter Misty Riger and great-granddaughter Tori Napier.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Larry Minton officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 P.M. Saturday and 9 A.M. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of Ohio County, Dr. Kevin Gregory and Teresa Woosley for their exceptional care.
