Vicki Kinkade Hammers

Vicki Kinkade Hammers, 71, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Bowling Green Ky. The Edmonson County, KY native was the daughter of the late Lonnie Kinkade and Elsie Lindsey Kinkade. She was a loving daughter who honored her mother and father and treated them with great respect. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Kinkade.

Vicki was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her Masters degree and Rank I, and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a retired teacher at Simpson County High School, and was a devoted teacher who loved her students, and they loved her in return. She took them to many state competitions. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Lindseyville, KY.  She was also an avid crossword puzzle worker.

Survivors include her husband, Lowell Hammers of Bowling Green, KY; son, John Hammers (Tammy) of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Teddy Kinkade (Carolyn), Lindseyville, KY; grandsons, Jacob Hammers and James Hammers of Bowling Green, KY; nieces, Ashley Griffith and Julie Howard; nephews, Matt Kinkade and Josh Kinkade. She dearly loved her family and was very devoted to them. She also loved her dog, Rocky.

Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. To 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 8, 2015 and 9:00 A.M. To 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Service will be at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Lovers Lane Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
