Eva Eyelean Phelps

Eva Eyelean Phelps, 90 of Roundhill, KY passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Eyelean was born March 9, 1929 in Edmonson County, KY to the late Robert "Pat" Dalton and Shellie Dalton Seabolt and wife of the late Kenneth T. Phelps. She was a retired teacher from the Butler County Board of Education after 36 years, started her career teaching at age 16 in a one room school house. She was a member of Temple View General Baptist Church and active member of Rebekah Lodge.

Connie High Daugherty

Connie High Daugherty, age 78 of Banock, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.  Born on July 9, 1940 to the late Wallace and Martha Rexford High in a small community in North Florida, Mrs. Daugherty lived most of her life in Butler County.  She graduated from Miami High School in 1949. At that time she enrolled at Campbellsville College where she studied to become a teacher and graduated in the Spring of 1963.  In August of 1963, she married the love of her life, Chesley S.

Talon Heath Jones

Talon Heath Jones, 10, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky. on October 29, 2008.   Talon was a 4th grader at Morgantown Elementary School. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his bicycle, eat tacos and play on the internet. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Windell Jones.

Mary "Louise" Hammers Clark

Mary "Louise" Hammers Clark, 90, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 16, 1929 to the late E. Silas and Florine Hunt Hammers.  Mary "Louise" was a member of Big Muddy Baptist Church.  She was a former manager at the Dollar General Store, retired from the Butler County Schools Food Service, was a member of the Singing Seniors and loved to do a lot of fishing.

McClellan “MC” Deweese, 91, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on May 8, 1928 to the late Taylor and Florance Woosley Deweese.  MC was a farmer and dozer operator and a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Minnie Faye Frames Deweese; brothers JD and Glespie Deweese and sister Eliza Ann Cockriel.

Shirley Phelps Smith, age 72, of Morgantown, answered the call of her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of May 12, 2019.  Mrs. Smith was born on March 21, 1947 in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Roy Ellis and Ona Velma Tarrance Phelps.  She was preceded in death by an infant child, two infant brothers, and her siblings George Phelps, Jolene Cardwell Hunt, Viva Jean Hunt, and Adaline Johnson, as well as her in-laws Oval B.

Roxie M. Dockery, 84 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her residence. Roxie was born February 5, 1935 in Louisville, KY to the late Granvil Thorton Brather and LouElla Bryant Cockrell and wife of the late Hester Ray Dockery. She was of the Baptist faith and a assisted living care taker. Roxie enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and KY Basketball. She loved spending time with her family and watching the squirrels and birds.

Linda Louise Givens Adler

Linda Louise Givens Adler, 67 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Wednesday, June 27, 1951, the daughter of the late Ivan Glendall Givens and the late Gertie Ruth Belcher Givens. She was the wife of Ranny Adler, who survives.

She was a retired seamstress at Red Kap and was a member of Baugh Station General Baptist Church.

Priscilla Ruth Johnson

Priscilla Ruth Johnson, 78 of Aberdeen, KY passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at her residence. Priscilla was born September 1, 1940 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Lonnie and Nola Dockery Coots and wife of the late Clifton Johnson. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Priscilla is survived by two daughters Shalia Johnson and Nadine Higgs both of Aberdeen, KY; one granddaughter Wendy Beasley of Roundhill, KY and four great grandchildren Jasper Beasley, Clifton Lee Johnson, Tommy Hunt and Troy  McIntosh.
