Minister-Counselor Tian has visited Morgantown twice. The first visit was on August 5, 2015 and the second visit was on January 16, 2017. Christine Bratcher: Creating blessings...one stitch at a time

During the first week of the year I tried to do a little bit of all the things I would like to do in the New Year.  I wrote birthdays and appointments on the new calendars, one for my purse, kitchen, bedroom and sewing room; visited dear friends I hadn’t spent time with in a while and brought them some cookies I had made from scratch; paid some bills; wrote letters to distant friends; had “tea” with another dear friend; then on Saturday morning, in the warm sunshine, I sat on the long porch and listened to someone’s beagles sound off

At first one would think the crowd was due to it being fine free Tuesday...for those of you who don’t know, this takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. So, dig out those books that you have been ashamed to turn in from six years ago and come by.

Winter is a Great Time for Families

The winter months are a great time to catch up on much needed family time. Yes, it’s cold. Yes, you cannot get outdoors as much, but around your home you have plenty of indoor activities to do with your children that can create a meaningful family experience and lots of wonderful memories.

Counting Blessing...One Stitch at a Time

Merry Christmas from the Butler County Knitters and Crocheters. We were blessed to have 247 hats, scarves, ear-warmers, messy bun hats and gloves to donate this year, and over 200 baby hats for the Medical Center newborns. Although our weather has not been too cold yet we know it will be soon.  Winter isn’t really here yet.  The Festival of Trees was wonderful, as usual, and the Morgantown 1st United Methodist Church also donated hats, gloves and other warm things for Butler County children.

Kentucky Artist Spotlight: Karen Genter

Karen Genter told me that while she was a student at WKU in the sixties that photography was not considered an art form.  This confounded me…how was photography not considered to be an art?
