Born on August 16th of this year, Willow is originally from a farm in Rockfield, Kentucky and her family boasts an excellent German Shepard bloodline. Currently, Miss Willow is the only female deputy the Butler County Sherriff’s Office has ever had.

Butler County Chapter NSDAR selects Tommy Wood as 2018 Veteran of the Year

It is once again time to recognize our local veterans as we near the Veteran’s Day observance. The Butler County Chapter NSDAR holds an annual Veteran’s breakfast to honor those veterans. This year’s breakfast will be held in the Butler County High School commons area at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning, November 10 and all veterans are invited. Each year we select one veteran as our Veteran of the Year and this year we have selected Tommy Wood to be recognized. His interview follows.

 The Butler County Farm Service Agency will be holding a County Committee election in November for Local Administrative Area (LAA)1.   Butler County is made up of  3 areas for which the elections rotate each year.   This year the election area, LAA 1, consists of all farms south of Hwy 70 and sotheast of Carson Bridge Road.

Tracy Cowles, County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, and the Butler County Homemakers will present the 2018 Butler County Extension Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 9th, starting at 5:00 p.m., with a repeat program on Saturday, November 10th starting at 10 a.m., at the new Butler County Extension Office, located at 102 Parkway Lane, Morgantown.
