Mary Baize Wells

Mary Baize Wells, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Mary was born on Friday, June 14, 1935 in Butler County, KY to the late Anthony T. and Beulah M. Elms Snodgrass and wife of the late Claude N. Baize Sr. and Lawrence D. Wells. She was a member of New Beginnings Ministry,  a retired CNA and a homemaker. Mary loved canning, cooking and feeding everyone, quilting and spending time with family and friends.

Joyce Allen Southard

Joyce Allen Southard, 82 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on October 25, 1939, in Ohio County to the late Newton Jasper and Alta Grace Renfrow Allen. Joyce was a member of Slaty Creek Baptist Church, and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her grand fur babies, especially Brady.

Court Young White Jr., age 94 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hospice of Southern KY, Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY. Court was born on Saturday, June 25, 1927 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Court Young Sr. and Ruby Bradshaw White and husband of the late Laura Turner White. He was a World War II Navy Veteran serving from 1941 - 1945 and a University of Louisville graduate. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one sister Alene Gilmore.

Victor Paul Elliott

Victor Paul Elliott, age 62 passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  Victor was born Thursday, October 8, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to the late Raymond and Agnes Taylor Elliott. He was a former minister of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Morgantown, KY.

Victor is survived by two daughters and their families; one brother; two sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Deborah Stahl Greb, 68, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at her residence.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 1, 1953 to the late Robert and Shirley Finch Stahl.  Deborah was a homemaker and a former CNA at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bobby Stahl.

Gladys Elaine Bryant Lawrence, 86, of Morgantown passed to her heavenly home on January 30, 2022, at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Collins and Ruby Woosley Bryant; a sister, Frances Embry; and husband of 54 years, Dallas Lawrence.

Bill Duffer

Bill Duffer, age 78 was born to Murray and Laura Verna Wilson Duffer in Bowling Green, Ky. on April 7, 1943 and died on January 28, 2022 in Bowling Green, Ky.

While serving in the Army, Bill was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana where he met his wife of 56 years. He made his home in Louisiana before moving back to Kentucky in 2006.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Willis and three sisters, Betty, Jean, and Dorothy.

Lawrence "Larry" Everett Hope

Lawrence "Larry" Everett Hope, age 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 1, 1936 to the late Daniel Everett and Blissie Mae Rone Hope.  Larry was a US Airforce Veteran and an Officer and Commander in the American Legion. He loved to solve cross word puzzles, play cards and picking up cars for Coleman Bros.  Larry volunteered at the Catfish Festival at the terrapin race.  You never saw him without a diet mountain dew in his hand.

Major G. Deweese, 92, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at his home. He was born January 29, 1929, in Horse-Mill, Butler County, Kentucky to the late Jerome Deweese and Roxie Mae Willis Deweese. Mr. Deweese was a retired farmer and a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.

Kathy Ann Swift Whitlow, age 69 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Kathy was born on Saturday, February 23, 1952 in Louisville, KY to the late Charles and Maurine Smothers Swift. She was a member of White Ridge Independent Church and a homemaker. Kathy enjoyed cooking, playing games and she loved her coffee. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers Charles Edward Swift, Richard Neil Swift and Terry Skaggs.
