Karen Dean Williams Bratcher

Karen Dean Williams Bratcher, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, at the age of 70. She was surrounded by the warmth and affection of her family at her daughter's residence in Roundhill, KY. Born on April 6, 1954, in Hardin County, KY, Karen's life was a testament to her selfless nature and her unwavering commitment to her loved ones.

Karen was a cherished sister to Sharon Walters (Donnie) of Elizabethtown, KY, Sheila Smallwood (T.R.) of Cecilia, KY, and Greg Williams (Tina) of Louisville, KY. Her siblings remember her as the heart of the family, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. The love Karen had for her family was immeasurable. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Rhonda Smith of Roundhill, KY, and her sons Randall Bratcher Jr of Brownsville, KY, and Darrell Bratcher of Roundhill, KY. Her son-in-law Roger Calvert of Roundhill, KY, held a special place in her heart. Karen's joy was multiplied by her six grandchildren: R.J. Calvert, Jaden Smith, Kayleigh Bratcher, Caden Bratcher, James Smith, and William Bratcher, all of whom she adored and cherished every moment with. Her brother-in-law Larry Bratcher of Morgantown, KY, along with several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randall D. Bratcher Sr., her parents Willie Ray and Nadine Ellis Williams, and her brothers Ronnie Williams and Gary Williams. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Nichole Bratcher.

Professionally, Karen dedicated 20 years of service to the Kellwood Co. and retired after a fulfilling 10-year tenure at DESA. Beyond her professional life, Karen's interests were a reflection of her love for life and nature. She was an avid camper, finding solace and joy in the great outdoors. Her passion for animals was evident in her love for her dogs, Zeus and Romeo, who were her constant companions. Karen's skillful hands brought beauty into the world through her sewing, and her generous spirit was most apparent when she was spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Satterfield Cemetery where Randall Jr., Darrell, David, Roscoe, William and Caden Bratcher and James Smith will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday June 10, 2024 from 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
