Born on May 5, 1943, in Butler County, KY, Allen's  life was a testament to the values of love, kindness, and intelligence that he embodied and shared generously with all who knew him.

Allen's journey began in the rolling hills of Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Dewey and Claudia Elms Deweese,  he was born to a family that would soon see him become a beacon of strength and compassion. Allen fulfilled a career spanning 43 years at DESA International in Bowling Green, KY in the quality control department. A man of faith, Allen was a past member of the Morgantown Community Church, where he found solace and fellowship.

Allen's  passions were as rich and varied as the life he led. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing these experiences with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and he also had an eye for treasures from the past, indulging in antiquing as a way to preserve history and create stories for future generations. Allen loved spending time with family and having cookouts.

Allen was a loving father to his two sons, Barry Keith Deweese of Morgantown, KY, and Steve Wells (Cookie) of Roundhill, KY; and his two daughters, Sandra Bender (Sam) of West Virginia, and Diana Henry of Jonesboro, AR. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons and love he imparted.

Allen also leaves behind his brother, Dallas Deweese of Louisville, KY, and his sister, Linda Oder of Cadiz, KY.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charleese Pugh Deweese, his sister Lavonne Ward, and his brother Phillip Deweese.
